You started the insults implying there was something wrong with my life, you hypocrite. It was a foolish comment, that makes you a fool.I don't want to achieve immortality through my work, I want to achieve it through not dying0 -
Everytime I try to set a sell limit i'm told i don't have enough funds!

Oh grow up for god's sake, it was obviously a joke implying that the HL website problem was a huge issue in your life (which of course it isn't).Chuck Norris can kill two stones with one birdThe only time Chuck Norris was wrong was when he thought he had made a mistakeChuck Norris puts the "laughter" in "manslaughter".I've started running again, after several injuries had forced me to stop0 -
I sent HL an email earlier this morning asking for their confirmation that they would compensate me for the difference between the RM share price at 8am when I first tried to log on (about 450p) and the price I eventually sold at (at that time I was still trying to sell but eventually I sold about 11.45am at 431p). To my amazement I received a call just now from HL - they were willing to sell my holding for £5.95 commission rather than the usual £11.95 in the hope that this would compensate me for my loss/ difficulties. As it happens I had already sold by then. I said I had lost out to the tune of £40, so apart from being too late the £5 offer was insufficient compensation in my view. The lady from HL said she would escalate my complaint so we'll see what happens.0

After timeouts, service temporarily unavailables etc. I eventually managed to login.
On the third attempt I managed to stay on long enough to request a transfer out of my refunded cash. Faster Payment but not initiated until next working day. So another couple of days they will be holding my funds for no interest!
My portfolio summary showed the RM shares but when I went to sell nothing showed.
That was 30 mins or so ago. Now I cannot get past the login screen.
It is just as well that we each only have 227 shares each. If I were trying to deal in thousands I would be much more annoyed than I am at present.
(Further delay may not mean further losses. 15 min delayed share price is now showing as around 437p as opposed to 435p when I last looked.)
Update 1: Got as far as dealing screen. Quoted 441p accepted and transaction failed. Timeout? Requoted a few times with same result. Now the shares are not showing again!
Update 2: Despite the message displayed the cash was in my current account on Saturday morning which was a pleasant surprise.0 -
Mother has just got all the way to a confirmed bid price only to be timed out and then to be thrown out back to login page, lol.
Over 5.5 hours into this minor issue now.I don't want to achieve immortality through my work, I want to achieve it through not dying0 -
now reported in the Daily Telegraph: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/personalfinance/investing/10371756/Hargreaves-Lansdowns-systems-buckle-under-Royal-Mail-share-trading.html“It is difficult to get a man to understand something, when his salary depends on his not understanding it.” --Upton Sinclair0

Like everyone else - been trying all morning online. Don't even get a ring tone when I try and call.
Thought I had cracked it a few minutes ago - got to 'accept price' thne system threw me back to log in - I have no idea if I've managed to sell the shares or not!!
A very frustrating experience - as many others have said - I won't be doing business via HL again:(0 -

Please let me know! Can't see anything happening, else we'll have hoards of people who sold out at low prices trying to get compensation.
Christ, what is the US defaulted and shares tanked all round and you needed to get out for some reason (even though you should 'buy at the bottom')? Maybe Hargreaves have done us a favour by showing us they can't cope in a crisis situation..0 -
