How much do you spend on Wine?

The majority of people probably wouldn't. The majority of people who buy wine for its taste would.
Not all wine is for necking behind the high street - most good wine is an accompaniment to a particular food. So it might not be anything special of its own but with a particular meal it's out of this world.
That's what some inverse wine snobs don't understand.
I was going to say the same thing.
We do a lot of wine tasting and often you taste a range of wines from 'quite good' to 'excellent', without them initially telling you which ones are which. Obviously there are always a few exceptions to allow for personal taste but generally it is very possible to guess correctly and tell the 'just ok' from the 'excellent' and everything in between.0 -

If you want bargains on high end wine, and find yourself passing through Basingstoke it's well worth making a stop at Berry's Bin End shop. You often find bottles discounted by up to 45% and the minimum reduction is 25%, and being Berry's there's some very very nice stuff to be found.
