Yes, that may be so, but some were saying that what the OP wanted doesn't exist, and it does.

they asked about a device, it doesn't

they asked about apple and google tv, a 10 second search would have provided the answers to what channels they cover.

they mentioned at the very beginning the reason why they were doing this was because the arial/Ariel/aerial doesn't work, well guess what, intelligent human beings latched onto that statement, as it is the core issue, and tried to help by asking for more details. Hardly the first person to say they've got a signal problem on this site, and I would imagine almost all of them were resolved.

Then it was mentioned that >£250 was spent on said aerial, if that's actually true, then people might ask why anyone would spend £250 on something that doesn't work (which in itself is a questionable fact in a big city) - no details have been forthcoming.

They threw a strop, became rude, and started to imagine hidden meaning and words in posts, very strange behaviour from someone asking for help. The word licence seems to be a particular difficult word for the OP.

They said they can't stream any live tv on iplayer, they can.

They said they can't get live bbc3 on iplayer, they can, and were provided with a link

then they move the goalposts to e4, again a link was provided

    then they said itv2+1

then they said all freeview channels, can you get all channels on that website, no.

if the best site delivering this service has come under legal pressure to remove the service, then it is highly likely that the one you recommended will follow suit at some point, it's hardly an ideal solution to someone with a TV set.

Quote from that very first post 'What I want to do is watch live TV by streaming through the internet. either with my HD ready TV or ipad.'

And, yes, this thread is rattling on so I'm off!

Thanks mioliere, I can't see what others that I have blocked have posted but can only guess! Unfortunately, it seems you were the odd one out that read my post (as per your quote). Thanks very much. You are a star amongst others :)
