Ok I don't think I have explained what I mean as it seems everyone is saying that I do not want to buy a tv licence and use dodgy websites?!?

I do have a tv licence, I just want a way of streaming TV via the internet. That is all. I can't get an arial, I have spent over £250 on a new one and it does not work. When I found TvCatchup it was the only thing that worked.
But they have removed channels and added links to external sites on what is left. Most do not work like with BBC three as above.

I know about BBC iplayer, and of you look at my first post I say "I am now stuck watching on demand and not live". Iplayer is an on demand service. What I want to do is stream live tv on my ipad or buy a box that can do it for my TV.

Glad you clarified about the license thing, not sure why you are not chasing the £250 refund as it sounds at present like somebody has ripped you off, I have just this second gone onto tvcatchup there was a message on bootup about becoming a cable operator, anyways bbc3 is certainly still there and watchable.

Closed - I can, my iphone keeps changing what I write before I manage to get to the end. Which is why it thinks aerial is a name and capitalises it. Also love how you changed your post to include what I had already said!

Ok I think people are missing the point. I am not desperate to watch bbc 3. This is an example in regards to another link someone put in this thread. Tvcatchup does not have itv2+1 for example, and lots of other channels, all of which are not on the ITV site that it will redirect you to if you are watching on a PC.

The redirect does not happen on an ipad (which again I am using), the channels are not there. BBC 1,2,3 and some Scottish channels are.

The point is that I am looking for a web service where I can stream freeview channels to my ipad or TV. I do not mind paying for it.

I cannot believe how rude people are on here!!! I ask a simple question and I am being bullied by some awful people, and I am new.

Ok "closed" you seem to not be able to read.

here's how this site works, you ask a question, someone (awful people) spend their own time giving a free answer, you then start being sarcastic and rude to people trying to help you, who haven't been rude to you, guess what happens next.

you've got your answer, and some alternatives, you just don't like it.

We weren't missing the point, you just told us part of the problem but missed out the bits you've just told us. From your initial post there's no mention of which channels - apart from E4 and then BBC3, so they're the only ones we can go off, so when we test them they work.
Probably a bad couple of channels to use as the example.

If you can't get an aerial working, what about a freeview dongle for the PC,, won't work on the iPad though unless you can find a freeview app.

I ask a question, and have someone really rude give sarcastic comments rather than help.

You have nothing better to do than to troll on the internet trying to make yourself feel better... If someone says they knew then great. If someone says they don't then oh well. Someone gave a really good suggestion and it didn't pan out. We worked through this issue.

You didn't read the issue and keep editing your posts when you have been caught out! I'd suggest not replying to things you do not understand, and stop being a troll! I'm not feeding you anymore troll.

Oh sorry DUTR didn't notice your reply in between this rude ignorant troll. Yes, I didn't think I needed to write about my licence as I didn't ask for a dodgy way of getting internet TV. It isn't just BBC three this was just a suggestion in regards to another website and was just pointing out this doesn't always work as it will ask you to watch on your TV. There's nothing I can do RE: refund for the aerial, but that's a seperate issue.

Hi scheming gypsy - as in the first post I said I wanted to watch freeview on the internet using my ipad or buy a box to link with my TV. This means
All the channels of freeview, if it was selected channels I would have said. Won't a freeview dongle need an aerial? Sorry someone told Me it did. Will this work on a MacBook do you think?

So how is a freeview dongle on a PC meant to work without an aerial?

I have a freeview dongle on my PC and it needs an aerial.
