Hope no one was hurt, froddington.
Drizzle and grot here so still haven't been out in the garden. But, I have unpacked and built the dolls house aww it's lovely. It's also in the spare room  really need to remember to ask FIL to help me put it away tomorrow before kiddies go upstairs...
Conservatory ceiling painted, they are coming back in the week to do any touching up and refit the blinds. Looks brill. Floor wants cleaning (again) and the windows then I can put everything back in.
I've also done some sewing! I've sewn a button inside the cuff of each coat sleeve, and a button onto the cuff of the gloves / mitts. Then I'm attaching them with some of that elastic from adjustable waist trousers :T its already got button holes in it hurrah so just a case of cutting to the right length and buttoning on either end. And reusable too!
Just had some soup and going to relax this afternoon I thinkBossymoo

Afternoon all. Thanks for the best wishes for SickDog, she is beginning to get her appetite back now and had a waggy tail on her short walk this morning. Hope all the other dogs are improving.
Thanks also for the nagging about wills. This is now on my to do list. I didn't do it when the children were younger as I didn't want to tempt fate. How silly is that.
Anyway, I've spent the morning baking cakes for afternoon tea with friends, and am now sitting here as they haven't arrived yet. If they are not here soon, I'll have to put them off till tomorrow.
Other flying today - popped to shops, hoovered downstairs......sorted washing....nope think that is it. I have also sat and read the paper.
Hope you all enjoy the rest of the day.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
I think I'd sooner do a production of the Mabinogion with an entirely canine cast ...:rotfl:

Collies for the sheep ?
Played furniture removals with DH this morning: moved all the remaining furniture out of the downstairs bedroom and the rolls of carpet and underlay back in. The carpet fitter is coming some time this afternoon. In the meantime, we have taken up all the old broken lino, hoovered, removed staples from floorboards and knocked down nails, and put up the new satin steel curtain pole. I have hung some curtains up as a temporary measure - they are just long enough and wide enough, but definitely a 60s pattern which will be replaced as soon as funds allow. I've also cleaned the window
Now shattered.... I need to find some energy to list a leather chair on eB@y and then write a 10-minute talk in English and German tonight, together with some PowerPoint slides to accompany it, but we also need to move furniture back.
Tomorrow we are taking the day off and visiting a beautiful garden not far from here (NGS) - that is, providing that it doesn't pour with rain all day. We've had a couple of heavy showers and some drizzle today, but it's not been too bad.
More sticks thrown for BDs, and (((hugs))) where needed.0 -
I have done between 15 and 20 minutes a day following the schedule and my house has never looked this good. In fact I have found an old forgotten pair of glasses, a skirt (designer make - so v pleased), a couple of pictures of my cat who is no longer on this mortal earth and a couple of pounds. Looking forward to doing it all again next week and hopefully it can be a little bit more tidierSaving for Christmas 2017 £120/£400 :beer:0

Mrs MP's Christmas cake recipe is in the oven. Smells so good!
I've decluttered a few £'s at the NCT sale. Got some nice brand new items for the kids stockings. Biding my time getting them out the car as DD2 is floating about in her bridesmaid dress being a fairy angel.
The cold I had at the beginning of the week is now a chest infection requiring AB's. I haven't worked this week so my finances will be much reduced next month.
My uncle's furneral is on Wednesday, Mum is a bit all over the place. She's ordered the flowers and written the card but keeps changing her mind. She's put beautiful words each time but is stressing that it isn't right.
Right time to put everyting away and prepare for an evening of Strictly watching.0 -

Hope no one was hurt, froddington.
Thanks bossy - no injuries, thankfully, just a bit shaken at the time. Poor car needs some work but nothing that can't be fixed and it's still driveable!"There's only one way of life and that's your own" - Levellers

Couple of presents bought at Trago, onions bought ready to make spicy pickled onions for xmas.
Food shopping bought and put away in the cupboards.
Fixed a broken drawer in the bedroom (and found OH's hidden ciggies while doing so)
Cancelled my bootcamp for Monday, forgot we're taking FIL out for a birthday tea!
Wet washing hung up and kit collected together ready for my half marathon tomorrow.
The Will info has been very interesting, discussed it with OH today and she agrees it's something we need to do. She works in the PO and can probably get a will kit with her employee discount.
Going to order OH into the kitchen to make curry for tea in a bit, then I think I'm going to settle into bed with a cuppa and my book. Early night for me, need to rest for my run tomorrow!
