Sorry to hear about the car froddington, hope the damage isn't too bad, at least you're ok that is always the main thing hey!

Thank you to bossymoo and Kaz2904. Will definitely ask my husband to speak to his union representative about free wills, as I have seen something mentioned in the past in a newsletter, if they can't help then will have a look at the will kits you can buy, our situation is very simple, few pets, rented home, not a lot of money, so really it would just be leaving everything to one another, if we both die then equal split among parents. So will definitely add will to next weeks list to remind me to try and get it done next week, my husband has life insurance (I don't as can't afford the huge premiums with my illnesses) so I guess a will is a very sensible option anyway. Thank you so much for the help, really appreciated.

Pigpen I just love the name Poppy! Wow, 11 children, amazing! You must feel very blessed (and busy!).

My husband went off to work with a bad cold today, he rarely gets sick, which made me worry a little about getting ill (I have an immune disorder) but so far so good. To be prepared just incase I am already working on tonights dinner, baking bread and getting some washing done just incase this coming week I feel a little unwell myself.

Hope everyone has a good day. I have just about managed to read most of the thread this week, next week I may even reply to comments within 2 days of them being wrote :rotfl: You wouldn't think I am a 'lady of leisure' with no children to worry about would you?!

Katykicker we used a broker called lifesearch for my husband who had a previous cancer diagnosis. The quotes we'd arranged ourselves were circa £100 per month  which was just mental (he'd been clear of it for 20yrs) but this broker managed to get one from Axa for less than £10 per month. We declared his history, of course, and the claims process was very straight forward.

So it might be worth a look.

So I've had a lovely sleep on my own :D but I am missing my babies :o we have a party to go to this afternoon, and I may pop out to !kea this morning for some glass jars.

There's some bits to put in the DW and some ironing needed, plus I need to sort some dinner for the kids. Might be sausage mash and veg day :o

If anyone hasn't posted about their challenge this week, can you let me know if you've spent any time on it. Remember, this isn't necessarily about the destination, the journey is just as important. Any breakthrough however small should be celebrated :T

Besides [STRIKE]sorting bread[/STRIKE] and [STRIKE]washing[/STRIKE] once they finish I want to get my [STRIKE]washing up[/STRIKE] & drying up done.

First I will be [STRIKE]going through my bras[/STRIKE] to get them crossed off the list. It is the second week of me doing this challenge, and I'm so pleased with myself, both weeks I've finished the main jobs and this week I want to get the last few bits done too! Want to get my printer out from under the bed but for some stupid reason I am scared about spiders :S Might be brave later and have the cats on standby!

Thanks for the info bossymoo will have a look into it. At the moment I don't work and we don't have a mortgage so I guess life insurance doesn't feel so urgent as I don't bring any income in anyway, but good to have a look anyway.

Edited to say - 10 minutes later I am still sitting here in my nice warm duvet... Don't want to put the heating on yet, as my thermostat seems to think it is 23.5C in my home, even though it is much colder than the summer months in here.

    Morning lovelies

    Hope everyone's doing ok?

Woke up this morning thinking ooooh what day is it.....yay it's Sunday! It's a lovely feeling isn't it lol so I've chilled out and caught up with my forums, set the DW away (got a second load too :o ) re-added some favourites to my laptop (had to do a factory setting wipe the other day  ) and sorted Doggie out.

Today I'd like to achieve the following:-

    DW 2nd load
wipe benches in kitchen etc etc
    WM x 2
    TD x 2
    Ironing
    scrub claokroom toilet & sink etc (it's a grot spot :o )
    Feed everyone

Hoovered right through the house yesterday so floors are fine, could do with a mop but that wont be happening today, oooh need to bring blue bin in from outside, it's had a 3 day airing in the back lane :o I might have a small tidy in the back garden, there's doggie detrius all over it, might actually give that to DS2 to do.

Brew no. 3 about to be made and I'll have a lil potter in the kitchen whilst I'm there.

    Laters :hello: x

glad you had a lovely day susan, i saw a woods coach in our town this morning with a sign on the window saying knitting and stitch show and thought of you. id love to have jumped on but dont think my boss would have been impressed

    have a good night all

knitting and prison break with a large glass of wine is calling me

It was lovely, Mrs MP, lots of inspiration. I had a list of yarn I wanted for projects in my queue and managed to get it all at exhibition prices. Did I stick to my list? Errrrr.....no, I have to confess that a few impulses ended up in my bag! But then that's part of what it's about!

Maybe see you there next year?

Outside the palace there was an amazing yarn bombed taxi. Absolutely lovely and such detail!

There was a sting in the tail for the day though. I must have picked up a bug and spent a sleepless night in and out of the loo. Spent yesterday in bed weak as a kitten and still not right this morning. Nothing done flying-wise yesterday. I have a lot of ground to make up over the next 3 days.

Susan946, remember not to be too hard on yourself when you've been ill. If you're weak just try to do little bits here and there rather than pushing yourself too far and potentially suffering a setback. Get well soon!

I have a confession, Bossy. You've already awarded me a third star, to which I must admit I was not entitled. And I really, really meant to earn it by doing something this week and not saying anything. However, the best I've managed is to 'think' about the task, which is sort of where I was when I signed up to the Challenge. (If 'thinking' is star-worthy, I'd have a personal universe already.)

One lodger is due to leave today and there was supposed to be another arriving, but he phoned yesterday to say he's going to delay his arrival by a week. That's now nine week's income I'm down this year, which is a bit grim. I'll do the turnaround anyway in the hope that if anyone 'phones needing something last minute it'll be ready.
    Better is good enough.
