Zero flying done today, but my run went well. Completed it in 02:18:18 which I'm very pleased with.
Come home and OH is in bed having a nap (she doesn't do well with early starts) I'll get on with the dishes in a bit.
We did ring the pet insurance when we got back, about the difference in the online quote. Result was we got £45 worth of clubcard pointsthey weren't able to match the online quote, but they were still the cheapest so stuck with them.

I've been quietly flying the past few days. Didn't achieve much on Friday after the paid stuff as I felt really ropey, thought for sure I was coming down with a virus but it didn't materialise *touch wood*
Yesterday I went into Birmingham with DH and DD. Bought DH a new winter coat (not :money: at all but I know he will wear it for years and he looks v. handsome in it) and we both picked up ages clothes for our honeymoon. I have basically NOTHING which is Dubai appropriate so have bought some dresses which cover both my knees and my shoulders. I need a new swim suit, DH needs swim shorts but that aside, we're sorted.
In between I have emptied both the washing AND ironing baskets :T House is fairly tidy and a quick dust and vacuum tomorrow morning should see it looking good.
Hope everyone has had a peaceful, happy weekend xx0 -
Dishes done and run stuff all tidied away.
OH took the dog out in the rain, so now I have a soggy doggy lying on the sofa :rotfl:
I'm sooo hungry! Trying to be good and keeping to fruit, but there's a mars bar that came in my goodie bag that's shouting at me!
So far I've eaten 2 mango pots, 1 pineapple and grape pot, and a banana. Cannot wait for tea! OH cooking chops and mash

What a great idea:beer: Was going to order some of those things Pigpen posted bit this is much more:money: Did you buy the elastic or just take it out of an old pair?
MIL had some in her sewing room so not sure
The great thing is, you don't need to sew the elastic in, so you don't need some for each coat. All you need is a button in each sleeve of each coat and the elastic and mitt can be passed around
We are done for today. Phew. Bags and clothes ready for morning, kiddies having supper, pjs at the ready. Ironing all done and put away, and I de-fluffed and de-bobbled DS school shirts. The cheap non-logo ones from the supermarket wash nicer than the ones from the uniform shop
I also joined the cheap energy club as my loyalty tariff is disappearingbut the top 4 or 5 I checked for price have awful customer service views. And I'm not sure they save me enough money to tempt me away IYSWIM. I'm with Atlantic and they've been brilliant whenever I've had dealings with them.
Right. Pjs for my little moosBossymoo

Really achieved very little today. Have done well with some of the paperwork though.
3 items listed on ebay was about all I could muster the enthusiasm for.The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -

Have managed to wash, dry and iron though. Bed remade with clean bedding.

I know I am biased but I do feel very strongly about this. DH wasn't keen originally but once he was having tests, his mum bought him a post office DIY one. He told me to write it and he would sign it. And aren't we so glad he did! And one of the first things I then did was got my own updated and put instructions for guardianship and a trust for the children. Just in case.
Even though most of our stuff was joint, and we were married. It still would have been impossibly difficult to deal with at an already distressing time. Lecture over

Couldn't agree more, OH didn't have a will, saying he was too young to think about it, and died completely unexpectedly. We weren't married, and the only simple thing to deal with was the joint mortgage. My lawyer made a few pounds out of the situation, and at one point we thought the kids would have go to court to be declared executors in order to claim his life insurance. It was all sorted out in the end, but was a nightmare to deal with at a time all I wanted to do was hide under the bed!!!!RIP Iain
