on this website www.earthkids.com they give the recipe as 4 parts cornflour to 1 part water, just mix together and you can add food colouring if you like.

when i made it before i stored it in a tub then just added a bit more water when we got it out again

on the earth kids website there are lots of other messy play activites too i think its called sensory recipes

  • Playdough recipe.

Put 1 cup of plain flour, 2 tablespoons of cream of tartar, half a cup of salt, 1 tablespoon of cooking oil, and some food colouring or powder paint in a pan. Stir over a medium heat until this makes a dough. Cool. Store in a plastic box in a fridge.

I didn't have an American cup measurer so I used a medium sized mug. I'm also going to experiment with child safe scents. I also found that the pan needed a long soak afterwards. Recipe came from the NHS Birth to Five book.

Anybody have a recipe for gloop?

    Rachel.
for smelly playdough we used things like vanilla essence.also for a bit of difference try adding some glitter.great nearer xmas
