Then double clicked, opening it.

That's correct. You can also just drag them to the drive, but sending them will make sure that they go to the Root of the Drive and not in any folder.
Have you actually unzipped the contents of the standard .zip file? Double clicking on that was not in my instructions....0 -

Always have trouble with saving to desktop with Vista: Me probably.;
Normally when I download, it gives the option to run/save/cancel, but first one didn,t.just Run, which I was dubious about.
So, I tried the second option, and the file came up under downloads.zipped
I right clicked on it to see what was inside, the 1, and there were 3 files, so just dragged the 1 file across to desktop.which shows up unzipped?
Then double clicked to check all 3 were inside, as they still are.but, it,s not zipped , it,s on desktop as open file, as it came.from your link.?
Haven,t sent to Usb until you say.
Can Run first one if you prefer?0 -

That seems to be the way that Vista unzips compressed files, so double click on the file in Downloads and when it opens, drag each file to the Desktop. Then send them from there to your newly created F: drive.Unzip (Uncompress) Files and Folders
You can unzip a file a few different ways.
Double-click the Zipped File
The easiest way to unzip a file is to double-click it. A window with the zipped files contents will open. You can click Extract all files or drag the files out of the window to the desired location (example: the desktop).
If you choose to click extract all files, the files will be extracted (unzipped) in the same location as the original file unless you specify a location in the Select a Destination and Extract Files box that appears when you choose to extract them.
Right-click the Zipped File
Right-click the zipped file and select Extract all. The Select a Destination and Extract Files window will open and let you choose if you want to save the files in the same location as the original zipped file or you can choose where you want to save the unzipped files by clicking browse and choosing a new location.0 -
Hi Nifty, Just taken back off Sons Fujitsu Pc , and there are already 2 sets of memory in , both slots occupied?
It has a sticker on each, 4134-1 Void if removed?
Has someone beat us to it?0 -

2 x 512MB RAM is what is already in. Just swap one of them.

When you are back in Vista. Press the Flying Windows key and whilst holding it down, the Pause Break key. Hopefully you'll see 1.5GB listed there.
Then to your photo/data backup and on to the BIOS update and the clean install.0 -
1278 MB must have been only 512MB in total ;NiftyDigits wrote: »When you are back in Vista. Press the Flying Windows key and whilst holding it down, the Pause Break key. Hopefully you'll see 1.5GB listed there.
