Thanks nifty, I,ll check it out, and send for the one you showed me from ebay, then probably do clean instal at same time if that,s ok with you? OR should I get extra Gb, making 2gb more?NiftyDigits wrote: »As long as it is SODIMM(for laptops) DDR2 it will be fine. If it is DDR(1) or DDR3, it won't fit.
Ideally, you want 2 x 1GB. But adding the 1GB module will bring it to 1.5GB, which is adequate.
Clean install later will bring it up to speed.

It seems as if your G/S bought a 2GB module to place in his device(Samsung Netbook?), swapping it for the 1GB RAM module that is now in the box.
The good news is that it is DDR2 800MHz, the same as the one you have ordered.
So you can fit them both. We'll update your BIOS later tonight or tomorrow.
You'll need a USB thumb/pen drive, under 4GB. So have one handy.0 -
Hi Nifty, I didn,t order any, as when I posted the first post, he-mailed with pics, ( which I,m failing to post) so he,s dropping it round later, so will just have that and what,s in ;1.5Gb, should be enough?? Deleted my first post, not quick enough apparently:rotfl:NiftyDigits wrote: »It seems as if your G/S bought a 2GB module to place in his device(Samsung Netbook?), swapping it for the 1GB RAM module that is now in the box.
