Omg yes code! If TTC was as 'fascinating' as bl**dy car forums we'd have a house full by now.
ps - I'm not actually stalking you this evening.... it just looks like it!:rotfl:0 -
Got to love a bit of Great British Bake Off, no b***hiness, good easy watching tv. Hopefully it'll be up soon on iplayer, tea lover.
Got to agree about men, although I think in this case hubby is literally half of the problem. Got to admit he's been really good about this.
I know I've just started this new journey and the doctor seemed really positive about finding out some answers, but I'm still terrified that if they do find a problem we won't get any help. We don't have any money to ever go private.
And code agree fully, I hate hate hate that blumming football manager game. Bane of my life. I have actually snapped one of the disks in half once as it annoyed me so much. Hubby is addicted to it. It's caused more arguments than anything elseRemember never judge someone that makes a mistake, because in six months time it may be you that makes the next mistake.0 -
eek I do feel sorry for our menfolk sometimes having to perform on demand!
Feeling a bit brighter today I realised I have far too many sad TTC dates all nicely spread throughout the year, hopefully I can squeeze a happy one in soon.
Tut tut for the symptom spotting ladies but it really is so hard not to! I didn't get to the last 2 cycles and I kind of missed it!
I know what you mean about the tiger/panda sob fest the poor things!
Hugs to all x0 -
Sorry to have been away for so long. I've been really struggling. First the wait for the MRI scan was driving me up the wall- then the results finished me off. I've got a benign adenoma and have to have MORE sodding tests to see what the hell it's playing at. Seriously, every time I think IVF gets a little closer to us something else happens. I'm now doubting everything the doctors have ever said to me as I'm clearly a statistical and genetic freak- 'your womb will be fine'- nope, it's unicornuate. 'your heart is fine'- nope again, you'll probably need a pacemaker at some point, come back when you're ill-er. 'You definitely won't have a pituatary tumour, your bloods are only borderline shoddy'- oh look, nope again, we'll shatter all of your dreams of starting IVF sometime this millenia and put you back on our sodding waiting list. !!!!!!! OH has now come to the conclusion that any child we may have will probably be the anti-christ.
I was dreading coming back here- partly because I want the people i've got to know on here to be on a happier thread and partly because I've now tipped back into default bitter old crone mode and hate all pregnant people... God i'm a horrible person.0 -

I jokingly call it his mistress. Whatever you do, do not let him download football chairman for his phone. All I've had are grunts from DH for the last 2 weeks.
Purcy - don't forget we have to perform on demand too. And persuade the menfolk. Mine obviously got his being a man manual without the want sex all the time pages. I think he got a faulty one, cause his DIY pages are missing too.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -

:grouphug: dodgy group hug teaandcakeordeath, I know it's not much help but all I can offer is vitual huggles.
Grrrrr loads of friends with baby motivational things on facebook tonight. Apparently its stillborn awareness day or something. Strange all the ones with it are the ones that haven't had a problem and have healthy children. One even commented, 'this is for my friends that have had problems, I didn't have a problem at all and now have 2 gorgeous babies' rub it in why don't you?
Haha code, no chance. His phone is too old to support games as I nicked his when he got a new contract (need a good phone with wifi for working).Remember never judge someone that makes a mistake, because in six months time it may be you that makes the next mistake.0 -
Welcome back TCD - good to see you - even if I know you'd rather be elsewhere! I'll miss all you ladies WHEN we all move on, I like the banter on here!
I took over SA booking after DH/NHS took 6 weeks to arrange a SA and mess up the analysis. I just booked it privately the next day and told him when/where to go! I think, like you Vesper, he doesn't really object to it, he just won't push anything. So if they say 'three weeks and we'll be in touch', he just keeps waiting about. I'm on the phone at 3 weeks and 1 minute to check what's happening!
Code/Tea - what you two up to? Is it a thread I should be reading??! I think we all spend possibly a little too much time on here.
And Tea, stop with the SS!! I'll PM QQ to get a proper wagging finger.
DH doesn't play games, but he surfs the web 24/7. I have no idea what he looks at (not what you think) just random following links, talking on forums about Liverpool FC etc etc. Although I admit we are both equally hooked on candy crush. He is good about performing on demand, although since my surgery I'll admit things have been different. Not something I've gone into much here, but I think my surgery has impacted us both, and we both still struggle with the physical and emotional impact. I'm not quite ready to decide what I feel about that yet.0 -
Oh, and I've decided to take a FB break. I love(d) it for keeping in touch with far flung friends, but I've decided recently its either tedious or depressing.
TCD - I know how hard it is to have endless obstacles when you just want to get to IVF. And so annoyingly out of control! You just want to say 'forget all that - I'll take the risk' but the doctors won't let you. With good reason, but it feels endless. This time last year I was preparing for IVF... been an eventful time since then. In fact - it could have been this day last year when I was rushing about to get to the doc's for a smear test.
dodgy hugs. :grouphug: To be honest - it does get easier. Silly as it sounds I seem to be much more patient now. I just don't look too far ahead. Focus on the next step, each step is closer to where you want to be.
And bring on the bakeoff! TL - sorry to admit I have Sky+'d it, so we are watching it now the football is over.0 -
Waaaaa don't threaten the QQ wagging finger, miss her on the threads.
Actually he's better than me at pushing for stuff, I just push him. I'm not very good at getting on the phone nor even talking to people. Although hubby was shocked as I took the lead at my doctors, hubby usually does all the talking.Remember never judge someone that makes a mistake, because in six months time it may be you that makes the next mistake.0
