Honestly, I unplug my router for one day and you lot get into mischief!!

Congratulations teamlowe. Had a wee look at the photo on the other thread and he's gorgeous.

T2D - this seems to happen a lot. I've had early appointments with my GP that are an hour late and have been the first appointment. Hope it goes well.

Wtdn - we'll all have to do the growing follie dance. Tea lover - fetch the silver jumpsuits.

Pickle - hope your emailing works. Its rubbish they do the cut off at 35.

Afm - nothing new. Dh has his appointment with the fs this week. Hopefully it will be for the surgery referral but I'm really worried that his blood tests have shown some genetic problem meaning he doesnt produce sperm. That really would be game over for us!!

Good luck to everyone in treatment right now.

  • Fingers crossed your email helps pickle. Good for you xx

Sew it - the injections are nowhere near as bad as you imagine them to be, right ? :)

Code good luck with the appointment let us know how he gets on xx

I was wondering what the hell as going on in here'd - didn't realise half the posts have been deleted. I won't state my opinion in fear of this also being deleted but I'm sure everyone on here is on the same wavelength regarding Mary

T2d you had your scan yet??!!??!!
  • Ps sew it - I read to prevent bleeding put the needle in and out slowly as well as injecting the fluid slowly. This worked for me.

The only time I bled and got a bruise was when I was rushing to do it in a restaurant toilet because I could hear someone waiting outside. I spent the rest of the evening worrying I had injected into a vein and was going to die, but in true British fashion mentioned this to no one :)

Googled it later instead and got the above advice which has worked for me. Still got pinpricks but no bruises and literally only a couple of pinpricks of blood.

If you get a big bruise it does indicate something slightly wrong... I can't remember what. But not life threatening! Maybe you went through a capillary. It also depends on the injection. After my major operations earlier in the year I had to inject anti-coagulent for a month. That left the most impressive bruises, no matter what I did!

Also for some injections rubbing helps, and for some it makes it worse. Rubbing made the anti-coags worse, which I realised after a little googling so I managed to reduce the impact a little.

For this cycle, I have no marks, except for one centrotide injection that has left a mark about the size of 20p which is deep deep black!

Anyway, finally got my scan, and then a rush to work as I had a 10.30 meeting (that I didn't make). Things looking ok/good. There are two lead follicles, one of which is 22mm, then about 4 in the teens, 6 around 10-12mm. They are deciding if they go for Wednesday, or wait until Friday for the little ones to catch up. If they wait then the big one will probably be 'overripe', but there would be more overall.

I leave it in their hands. They will call later to let me know if I trigger tonight for Wednesday EC, or wait and do it for Friday EC.

Nipped out of the office to pick up a wall planner, came back with three creme eggs, can't guarantee any of them will still be there by the end of the day.

    Congrats on your son TeamLowe.
PM - fingers crossed your GP speedily refers you and you resume treatment.
T2D - sounds exciting. Really hoping it goes vvv smoothly for you this time.
    Picklelin - have Berkshire replied?
Code - hope your FS has some good news for your DH.

Hi Sewit - I'm waiting for CD1 so I can book my baseline scan and start short protocol. Currently on CD21 and think I ovaluated last week so hopefully start in the 10 days.

Good luck to everyone currently having treatment.

WTDN - no they are not too bad. This is my 2nd cycle so I know that really they are ok and not the worst part of the process! This morning's injection was stingy though! Great that you have lots of follies, if you are on day 10 now, then another few days is great to give the follies time to grow! Get a hot water bottle on them and Tea will get the silver suit dusted off for the egg dance! :rotfl:

T2D & WTDN - thanks both for the tips on preventing bruises. I will employ them when I am stimming. Ironically it was my DH who did this injection, as he is a nurse and gives injections every day so thought I'd be in safer hands! But in fairness to him, it was a big needle and, bless him, I think its hard for him as I am not a patient. I'm his wife and he doesn't like stabbing his wife with a big needle (ooohh, just realised that could be a very naughty pun in a 'Carry On' style :rotfl:)

T2D - well done on no marks, you must be a dab hand by now!! :T Best leave it up to the 'people in the know' exciting that it will be sometime this week though!

Code - good luck for DH's tests, keeping everything crossed for you!

PM - roll on wed and the Provera kicking in!

picklekin - utter boll*ks that your PCT doesn't fund past 35. Move up here to Scotland, its 39 here. ;)

TeamLowe - massive congrats to you! You give us all hope :j

Right, best go and get to the meeting I'm supposed to be at!! x

The silver suit might need letting out a little around the seams, particularly after I've eaten the creme eggs (they're all still here... for now!)

Will get limbered up. Right then... who needs some egg encouragement?

ETA: even more off-topic than usual.... would it be completely obsessive to re-watch Sherlock again this evening lol?? LOVED it last night. Have no idea if it was the slightly dishelleved look, hormones, or something else entirely but I am now seeing Benedict Cumberbatch in a whole new light. OH might be getting the benefit of that later :o:rotfl:.

I'd totally appreciate an egg dance please TL. I'm quite nervous about it all, I know all the right things are happening, but I'm getting stressed again. Logistics are also getting me down. I have a pretty important work thing due this week too which isn't helping.
