  • BM, my oh had to do 2 tests a couple of months apart. I think it was just to get consistent results. This seemed to be their standard practice. I don't know how common this is but, just because they want another test, it's not necessarily bad news.

Yes - My thought was the instructions Might be "stop smoking, don't drink too much caffeine or alcohol and take vits then come back for re-test"....

The stop drinking, take vits is easy enough but the smoking....

Bless him though, when I said that MIGHT be what they might say, he decided there and then to give up. And touch wood, he hasn't smoked at all since Friday! Cold turkey too, no e-cig or anything! Hope he keeps it up!! :T:T:T
Baldrick, does it have to be this way? Our valued friendship ending with me cutting you up into strips and telling the prince that you walked over a very sharp cattle grid in an extremely heavy hat?
  • Morning lovely ladies x

Just popping in quickly (as I'm supposed to be doing something called work :p)

SewIt/Fairydust – first downreg sniff this morning!
I’m on Suprecur/Buserelin nasal spray – I read a lot on the internet about it being absolutely vile but I didn’t think it was as bad as I was expecting. Perhaps the fact I was thinking it would be worse meant it wasn’t!? (if that makes any sense at all…)
Good luck to both of you this week xx

Whattodonow – hope your scan goes okay today and huge amounts of good luck for this week! x

Part Mouse – lots and lots and lots of hugs for you xx

Hello newbies! Sorry you find yourself here, hope your stay is short but in the meantime, there’s a wealth of knowledge and support on here from all these lovely ladies :A

And great news about teamlowe – really lovely to hear about a graduate :j :T x

Did the injection this morning, stung a lot and also bled a bit, but other than that all ok! We are off on this crazy journey again!

BM - my DH also had to give two samples about 2 months apart, so it might just be that. Even if it is not great news, they will likely want to test again anyway. Easier said than done, but try not to worry too much. Brilliant news that your DH has stopped smoking, well done to him. Also, if you do need IVF on the NHS, up here is in Scotland, they are not offering funding to smokers due to the effect it would have on any baby born into a smoking household. Might be another motivation for him to keep off the cigs!

T2D - is it EC this week? Have you heard when yet?

Tea - hugs for the stealth FB announcement. Its not that you are not happy for them, just sad for yourself. I find it easier if I allow myself to feel down for a bit instead of feeling guilty, tits seems to pass quicker and then I can be genuinely happy for them.

Isla - I've PM'd you, hope I did it right and you got it.

PM - how are you feeling today, still bleeding? When do you go back to your GP to ask for the referral?

RG - how are things with you? When do you start your next cycle?

Hugs to any ladies that I've missed. xx

Mods - if you're going to delete half an argument why not get rid of all of it? Now we're just left with posts from someone who really shouldn't be posting here, and peeing us all off. But seems that anything the thread regulars post in reply is deleted.
    F'ing joke.

Frozen - great stuff! You are on a different protocol to me, I just have one injection, thankfully no spraying yet! When are you booked in for your baseline scan?

Fairydust, what about you, did you start DR today too?

I love the fact that we are all starting at the same time and some of us in the same place!!

How can the clinic be running 30 minutes late when I'm the second appointment. Arrggghh... Frustration moment...

Thank you for the congratulations ladies, was just thinking about how to/if to post and let you know so I'll just say what's in my heart and hope it doesn't upset anyone...

I know my journey wasn't as long or as hard as others have had but every prod, every poke, every CD1 breakdown, every moment of heartache and tears was completely and utterly worth it, he's everything I dreamed of and more and I truly and deeply hope that soon you all get your little miracles too x x x

  • Congrats teamlowe! Very happy for you.

My clinic was running late too T2D!

Well lots of follies but not big enough yet for EC. So back for another scan on weds.
  • Don't know what's gone on and why half of the posts are missing but..

Massive congratulations, its lovely to see someone come out the end of the horrible process with a success, gives me hope.

AFM: Spoke to GP who said he would ring the insurance company to get me a referral, seems a very odd way of doing things as last time (non TTC related) when we went through the insurance the GP referred US rather than having to ring the insurance company, weird.

Heard back from Berkshire NHS trust and they told me that you can get IVF at 35 (so my FS gave me wrong info) but I'm still to old anyway... Have sent a snotty email back stating NICE guidelines and asking them why they can ignore them, and also requested the result of a court case I can see was actioned against them. I wont go as far as that myself (will save money for IVF!) but I'll do what I can with grouchy emails!
