Hi one and all!
Congratulations Purcy !
I've been lurking, but I'm afraid I haven't been posting much recently. After 4 and a half years of ttc, one m/c in August and 7 grand of my money in the fertility specialist's retirement fund, there hasn't been much left to say...
Except...my AF started bang on schedule on Friday (the night of our Champagne-fuelled Christmas party..I didn't cry once!) and then my husband left to go away with work for 10 days.
So just me and my thoughts for 10 days. And Line Eye - because what I thought was my AF didn't really get going.
So I've been POAS/waiting/despairing/hoping for the last 4 days.
Anyway - I cracked today after getting a couple of quite nice evap lines (really barely there) on IC's yesterday. I bought a twinpack of FRER (£10.49!). Did one in the loo in Boots.
BFP!
Obviously, I know that a BFP doesn't always mean a baby at the end, but there won't be a baby without a BFP, and here it is. It's early, early days obviously...and you're the first to know. My husband is overseas and out of contact until the weekend.
I hate to be the one that hardly ever posts and then comes on here with a BFP. I know how hard it is hearing about BFPs, when things are at their bleakest and success seems so far away.
Anyway...good luck to everyone (as for me, I can only pray this one is for keeps.)

Thanks all!
But this is where I have to confess how computer-illiterate I am...not sure how to get a photo on here, and my IT guy aka husband is AWOL until weekend.
But be patient Fluff, and if it's still pink then, I will get a pic on here!!
I might save the second test until the weekend, to see if it's darker.0 -
Thanks PM, I'm not going to worry too much, I know if there is anything wrong then it will get picked up. Thanks code et al for persuading me to call them, even if it does turn out to be nothing.
chickpea, congrats!! Your FRER should still be pink, I have mine from Feb 2012 when we had our MMC and it's still there pink as day. I go and look at it sometimes, even still have the IC I used. All in a lovely little butterfly box, with some other bits I've bought our angel.
Sorry went off on one here but what I mean is it will still be there even to show your hubby when he gets back!0 -
Just de lurking to say yay chickpea!0

Congratulations chickpea, I hope it's a sticky one and you have a smooth pregnancy.
PM I hope your scan goes well tomorrow. Start an egg dance for your follie. The biscuit will only dare to be just a biscuit when it is with its true friend the potato. (Edward Monkton) :beer:0 -

Congrats chickpea. Hope all goes well
WW-Huge hugs missus
Code - I also started bleeding about 3/4 days after finishing the Provera, luckily we can go to the local hospital or GP but I did have to plan it around going away.
I actually ovulated again so I'm hoping things are back on track but I must visit the doctor again as my thyroid appears to be doing funny things again!
I'm determined to enjoy this Christmas :snow_grin I've got 2 new nephews, 10 months and 8 months, it'll also be the 2nd year with my step-nephew, 11 and step-niece, 5 and I rarely see any of them so my and the OH have had great fun amusing ourselves in the toy shops like a pair of kids!
It's going to be January when I allow myself to get a bit down as that will signify 2 years in the trying, starting into a new year and close to 41 when I said I would never try past 40. But till then

FS appointment later this morning, where we need to push for an IVF referral (unexplained infertility, 2.5 years of trying)...
The hospital just called and ask if we could go in earlier than our original appointment time. They've had lots of people not show up today!
Maybe it's all women who have had their BFPs so didn't need to go, but didn't want to cancel for fear of jinxing the pregnancy? That's the only excusable reason I can think of.
Just makes me mad because the waiting times for these appointments are so long. I called in October to see if I could push it back a bit as hubby was meant to be travelling with work today, and the next available appointment was in May!. They could have seen several people who are waiting this morning.Reaction probably not helped by a serious dose of PMT and being tired due to hot flushes overnight. Ah well.
Huge congratulations to chickpea:beer: (non-alcoholic
) Got everything crossed that this is the time for you.

Hi all,
congrats Chickpea!!!
Good luck for today pinkteapot, let us know how it goes.
Have been crying on and off since my last FS appointment. Can't yet put my finger on why atm. Maybe just a phase and maybe expected at this stage of TTC.
Hope it goes away soon and I feel more positive, it's just not like me0
