    Seventh Anniversary Combo Breaker
Feeling much better today thanks! AF has arrived (CD30, my joint longest ever cycle!) and thankfully some of the bad hormones are being overtaken by better ones!

Really interesting all the chat on 'sized down families' (I love that phrase!). I think in general I am still struggling with the fact we seem to need IVF, even though there is nothing wrong and still fighting that fact. I need to let go, accept where we are and learn to accept that we will most likely only have one biological child if we are very lucky indeed.

Also interesting the primary/secondary infertility thing. At the mo suffering from primary IF I feel that it must be worse, but I wonder if I would feel differently if I was suffering from secondary if that makes sense??

Littleme - re the ICSI, like Primmer I had IVF, same process. One injection to DR, was stingy, then an internal scan, then drugs for 9 days, another scan, more drugs, back on day 12 for another scan then on to EC (was a doddle, I didn't feel a thing) then back in for ET (worst part of this for me was I was lying there with nothing on from the waist down, everything was on show! I felt a wee bit exposed :o) . For me ET was no more uncomfortable than a smear. I was lucky and had no side effects, again like Primmer the emotional side was much, much harder to deal with.

Floaty - thanks for the hugs! x

Primmer, sounds like we are on the same page, medically ok, but emotionally really tough! I don't know your story, sorry, did IVF work for you?

PM - yeah to your little follie, well done you! I remember my embryologist saying I should be proud of myself. I don't think we give ourselves enough credit for how tough this whole journey is, be proud of ourselves for facing it, dealing with it and ultimately (fingers crossed) overcoming it. Sometimes against the odds too, so well done to you and to all of us here facing this horrible challenge!

Well that turned into a wee cheer leading squad! :rotfl:

    xx

    Hi all,

Floaty (34) DH 38. TTC#1 since 01/09. No obvious fertility issues from GP tests, slightly poor SA. Nearly finished all FS tests (day 3 bloods, day 21 bloods, internal ultrasound, HSG - just OH's SA to go). Next step:2nd FS appointment 22 Oct.

Lovely to be back amongst you all :grouphug:

Updated. Sorry - did I miss someone else's update? I've tried to scan back but I can't find it. I think one of our newbies maybe? Danielley?

All went well today. Planning for a little operation on the 21st. V busy now, but will properly update later. Suffice to say I was pleased with the results.

Morning all. Thanks so much for your support and thoughts, it means a lot. The scan was fine, didn't hurt too much and only some cramping during the day yesterday. The worst part was having to use an antibiotic suppository afterwards
The doctor showed me the scan on a screen afterwards, it was really weird seeing your insides out, iykwim.
Any way, I'm still cheering on that follie partmouse :T

Keep smiling everyone, it's nearly the weekend.
