They are so cheeky, I will need to prepare him more so he doesn't do it when baby is actually here though I guess.

I've started putting our baby swinging chair that plays tunes on at random times so he gets used to it. I'm going to put the playmat up too and at the beginning of next year get him used to the Moses basket. There's loads of really good advice online :)

All measured good at the scan! To say I was relieved is an understatement.

And to my surprise and delight we are team pink!! X

Back from the docs, my dizziness has been the cause of my body fighting an infection. I queried about the Bounty packs and she came back with Emma's Diary... which I already had.
So I guess I'm not going to be receiving it :(

The first bounty pack is mainly advertising and leaflets. Then one book about stuff to expect each week but you could read that anywhere.

I think the later ones are supposed to be better. I think you get them from Boots or something?

I never got Emma's diary. Is it any good?

We don't have anything yet and likely won't for a little while yet but he should be fine, he isn't great with strange adults but he loves kids so should just be a case of laying the ground rules.

Anyone know if we can/can't use deep heat/freeze type things ?

Been having really painful back/shoulderblade pain in my left side and now my arm feels kind of numb/tingly so think it may be a nerve :/

Go on their website, you can sign up online and they'll either send you a pack or send you the forms for getting the packs

    Congrats Claire :)

Con, one of my dogs would do that too ;)

You definitely can't use deep heat rub/cream because of the active ingredients that penetrate the skin. I don't know about deep freeze. I think heat patches are fine, but preferably the ones that affix to your clothing rather than your skin to make it less likely to affect your core body temperature. Otherwise a hot/cold water bottle, wheat bag or frozen peas in a tea towel. Best thing is probably a massage from OH and a good nights sleep. Hope you feel better.

Claire, don't sorry that motion thing is only occasional. Congrats on team pink! :T

We've been outbid on the house. Could cry I'm so fed up. Can't face more house hunting but don't want to throw loads of money at getting this house. However I felt the baby kick from the outside last night....amazing! I really didn't think I was big enough and unfortunately hubbie was asleep bug I'm sure he'll feel it soon.

Con have you been measured for bras? i had terrible shoulder pain the first time i was pregnant and that's what the doctor recommended, as my already generous helping had grown and it was not fully supported, it's your back that'll take the strain if your bra isn't right x

Claire so pleased everything is ok at the scan, hope it's relaxed you more! and yay for team pink :D

Thanks guys. I wasn't sure if we'd be blue or pink Becca, but for a while I did think pink as I've been so ill! DH was convinced it was a girl and I'm happy as we don't agree on boys names and I've had a girls name picked out for about 5 years that we both like.

Yes it has TL, I spent all day yesterday thinking about my friend who had terrible news at that scan so it was a big milestone for me.

On the way home we went to buy food in Sainsburys & I picked up a pack of pink patterned/print baby vests it was thr first thing we've bought I was so excited!

We had to wait half an hour for the scan, then the scan itself took almost half an hour because the baby was facing the wrong way so in order for her to get a look at the heart I had to try lying on my side etc and the woman wrote up the rest of the report and then finally she moved round! Otherwise we were going to have to go for a walk and come back! The lady was great she kept talking and telling us everything she was seeing and said if I see anything abnormal I'll say straight away, so she was exactly the type of person I needed.

Got some nice pictures too including one where she is looking right at us but you can only see one eye as the other is hidden it's quite funny!
