robots-I had a similar conversation with hubby in Aldi about muslins, I said they were good for wiping puke, dribble, puke, snot and puke, he did see the theme that was emerging, which I was quite surprised at!
I have a 5 month old nephew so I'm hoping to borrow as much as I can from my brother and SIL, but I am liking buying nice things, especially as we will not be having any more. ;)

Haha, Aldi is obviously the place to be! I picked up my nappies from the post office today, so am also feeling the love of cute tiny things :)

  • Husband has just gone out to the pub. I was intending to go too, but his friend turned up solo, so I know the talk will be about guitars and the big eve battle the other night.... So I've stayed at home. I've a pineapple, banana & coconut smoothie and some patchwork to keep me occupied. Shame there's no vodka/Malibu in my juice but hey ho!

Sophiasmum - I went to the aldi baby event too today - bought our first pack of nappies and I got a support pillow to for 5.99! Love aldi

How good is the pillow? I was tempted but wasnt sure if it was firm enough so didnt and now wonder if I should have bought it? I got some cellular blankets, a nursing bra, muslins and a fleece blanket.

I bought a small pack of nappies too - only to pick up my 3rd Emmas diary pack from Argos today and its got 8 of those exact same nappies in it, so I could have just used those to see if we like them or not first, grr! Mind you the Aldi ones were only about £1.70 for pack of 24 so not really too worried :rotfl:
  • I think I'll be going to aldi tomorrow! :)

I didn't see any pillows in Aldi, but I got a memory foam 1/2 tube pillow from lidl a few weeks back, and I loved it so much I retuned to get a second! As it's got 1 completely flat side it stays put, so I'm using it to stop me sleeping totally on my back.

3rd Emma's diary pack? I've only had one so far, I'm guessing I've missed something!?

  • Claire - I found aldi nappies really good with dd 2·(&cheaper!) I used huggies as well but they are discontinued. It's funny how different babies/mum's prefer certain brands of nappies - I never liked pampers. Just buying aldi at mo so hopefully I'll still like them.

Go on here, register your email and you can print off vouchers for all 3. They are well worth getting.

Thanks might have a look in Lidl.

I'm just snuggling down in bed with it now and it's pretty firm and feels good quality. It comes with a washable cover too. Will let you know how I get on with it. Thanks also for reminding me about Emmas Diary - haven't picked up my first pack yet so need to dig out the voucher for that.

  • I suppose I ought to get going over to the other thread - sheer laziness, really, as I'm now over 25 weeks.

I didn't look pregnant at 24 weeks, just a bit fatter, then within days my stomach muscles have decided not to fight the losing battle, and woomph! It's all out there (-:

My work trousers fit me on Thursday last week, then by Monday, there was at least 2 inches missing from them.

Best of luck to you all, see you later on the big girls' thread.
