Couldn't help but update the list again, I'm just pottering about this morning before getting ready to go shopping with my little sister. Think we will end up at the Trafford Centre where it's warm and dry... wondering if my mother will come and treat her grandson to be for the first time haha!
Have a good weekend everyone xx

Lovely news Moonbabe
Mysecretalias - ouch! That sounds really painful. Rest up and take care x Glad they got you an apt quickly.
Ive become a bit more paranoid last couple of days - not sure why. Am consciously checking for movements etc..No reason to worry but I cant help it!
Did buy some stuff in the Aldi baby event - Avent microwave sterilizer (used in both previous pregnancies = fab) was £9.99 which is a brill price and bought some nappies and wipes. I do intend to breastfeed but you need a sterilizer if you express and when/if eventually you move onto bottles. I moved on to bottles at 6 months so it got plenty of use!0 -

Thanks for updating the list sunshine - just updated again as it's pretty obvious now that ndg, Vickyvics and samtoby have all moved up to the next thread (just wanted to hang around after my previous post in case any of them shouted that they still wanted to be on this list!!)
Chelsea you're at the top now :eek:Our first baby due 25th May 2014 :T
Maternity leave fund: £3000/£6000 :T0 -
Sophiasmum - I went to the aldi baby event too today - bought our first pack of nappies and I got a support pillow to for 5.99! Love aldi.0

I'm just home from Aldi as well, I had been in on Thursday and got some cellular blankets and a couple of towels. I also got the Avent steriliser, but I took that back today, I prefer cold water sterilising and just got carried away cos the steam one was a bargain! I managed to get a couple packs of the muslins as well today, which I couldn't get on Thursday. My mum is desperate to pick up pink things, but my dad won't let her as he won't believe it's a girl until she is here!
Had a lovely afternoon wandering the shops with hubby and got bump a gorgeous cardi in Marks and Spencers as well-all of a sudden hubby has realised that there really is a wee person in there!
I also got a load of New Look maternity clothes delivered today-I got a voucher for Christmas and spent the lot on tops, they have a lot of multi pack tops which are pretty good value.0 -
I also went to Aldi today! I got the last pack of yellow muslins ( such cute zebra on them!), but didn't get anything else baby related. And forgot washing liquid. I showed husband when I got home and he asked what they are needed for. I said catching spit up, covering up... And then realised I'm not totally sure why myself!
he thought it was silly to buy something that's intended to get messy ("just use kitchen roll")!
My best friends latest baby is 6 months old and she has offered me anything I want that she won't need by then. As I trust her judgement & we have very similar views in things, it feels like I've my own personal shopper!:rotfl: she had a girl, so gave me a bag of newborn neutral baby grows & vests... We both got a little emotional
She took a good look at my bump, (and had a prod!), and thinks it'll be a boy!
Mrs Happy - I have 2 pairs of New Look maternity jeans waiting & a lovely bump/nurse top and I love them. You're lucky to have got vouchersPlease forgive the badly spelt alias... I am a long time contributor who needed to reclaim anonymity for health/job related posts.0 -
we've all been shopping then!
I thought I had better get a move on - though have been picking up a pack of nappies & wetwipes in my weekly shop since the 20 week scan. Cant ever have too many wet wipes!
Am looking around for a pram now.....going to buy second hand as I want one that has a car seat that goes into the chassis - but will buy a maclaren as soon as baby is about 6 months and just sell the pram on.0
