TL, that would be a hilarious sight! My 124 kg self sprawled on the floor saying: ok, go for it!

Baby brain: I know Norwich better than my husband because I've explored more. I just had to ask him to tell me how to get to the Subway we usually eat at because I couldn't remember how to get there from the GP's office! :o

I now have my 16 (well, really will be 18 week now) week appointment, 25 week appointment, and 28 week appointment with the midwife made. *whew!*

Oh trust me, if I weighed 124 pounds, I'd look anorexic but have a BMI of 25....

Scale currently says 122.6kg, but may be 1-2 pounds off. Health trainer weighed me at 123.7kg on 19th Dec. :o

Just found out that DH only weighed 5 pounds 12.5 ounces when he was born! Tiny compared to me! I was 7 pounds 14 oz!!!

  • Glad all went well Mrs T - sounds like a good appt, and a reasonable doctor.

Isaac weighed 8lb at birth (40 +6) and that was said to be an average weight for a white boy at birth. So 7lb 14oz sounds pretty average, too?

  • Thank you everyone for the well wishes. I had a job centre appointment today (since being made redundant from local council), and told the lady in a conversational way that I'd not had a relaxing Xmas, she asked why so I told her. Straight away she got me signed off for sick a while so I don't have the added stress, plus asked me to take bed rest afterwards so I couldn't attend interviews anyway! It was quite a surprise & not what I'd expected at all. She later said she'd had an Amnio with her youngest child, who is now 12 :)

We should get the immediate (fish) results in 2-3 working days. So by Monday I guess. Then the full screen can take 2 weeks. I'm confused as to if you get good news at the 1st result it's all good or if it could change. Have to remember to ask.

Haha garden vaccume! I keep forgetting peoples names too, even mine...but that's because it changed 3 weeks ago after signing my life away to a life of wifery...

Good luck for tomorrow. How long does it take for the results to come back?

Haha me too! Though our wedding was sept 2012, and I've only just changed my name at the Drs (and only coz husband was getting irritated when they call my name!)

Congratulations on your wedding Cllola! I hope it went well and wish you love and happiness for married life :)

I got to hear the heartbeat! Whee! Even better, the consultant said she's happy for me to have a home birth as long as nothing changes. She said I'd just need to find a midwife that feels confident and able to move me (with dh's help) if I cannot move myself. Made my appointment for the 32 week scan + follow up consultant appointment, and I'll be stopping my my gp's office to go ahead and make all of my midwife appointments and get it over with.

:T yay! I'm so happy for you, that you were supported and encouraged.

I'm not sure we really want to know the sex, but due to the nature of the tests on the baby's sack fluid someone in some lab somewhere will apparently have to know! Pink vibes eh? When my mind wanders to names, it's always pink names...

  • Very best of luck, Robots.

About 8 years ago, my mother signed her name on a form in the New Year with her maiden name. As she'd been Mrs X by then for 31 years, she couldn't quite work out why it had happened - she reckoned she was concentrating so hard on getting the year right that it signed itself!

Yay great news re being signed off Robots! What a nice lady :) yup deffo pink vibes, I seem to have a knack for knowing what babies people are having, only been wrong twice! Best wishes for tommorow, what are the fish results?

Mrs TM you definitely dont look that big, but on reflection you're right 124 pounds is quite low lol!

Also I cant post limks as I'm on a tablet but on the grabbit board there is cc a baby bargain thread, might be useful, especially for those looking at pushchairs x
  • Thanks for good wishes for tomorrow - I am scared. I know baby is kicking about but wondering what theyll see. Scan is mid morning will update as soon as I can.

Good luck tomorrow robots - my sister had amnio and she said the sex was in the notes (although she is medical so could have been able to read) so make it clear if you don't want to know! X
  • Good luck for your tests tomorrow robots. Glad the jobcentre haven't added to your stress levels!

Good luck with your scan sophiasmum.

And good luck to anyone else who may have tests or scans etc tomorrow!

Glad you've got agreement on your homebirth Mrs_T-M, must be a relief for you!

AFM, still shattered, still not sleeping well so I'm off to bed. Bleeding seems to have stopped again and the nausea is all but gone, so hopefully I'll start blooming soon! A couple of people at work have asked if the baby is kicking yet (I'm 13+4), I can feel taps inside but not the kind of kicking they mean where bits stick out. One of the lads is so excited that he says as soon as I can see kicking on the outside I must shout him over to have a look!
