Blimey! I thought a few drops was bad!!! Glad it's not just me though - was NOT expecting this so early x
My mom even asked if I could be further along than I thought. Nope! Little does she know my tracking obsession when I was ttc!
Just leaked on a clean shirt, but only about the size of a 20p coin this time. I'm really not looking forward to needing to wear a bra 24 hours per day to hold tissues/breast pads in place! *bangs head on desk*0 -
Yeah I guess cos no one wants the yellow!
I haven't seen it anywhere else as a package apart from sellers on amazon but I want to buy from a store incase of any problems.
So I'm going to have to wait til it's back in stock in mothercare.
The boot thing is what pushed me toward getting it as it was one of the smallest when collapsed.
me too as I only have a ford ka!
I'm pretty sure the base will fit in there it's just the carrycot/pram bit...it might have to go in the passenger footwell. hmm.0 -
Becsxxx sorry for the massively delayed reply to your post, I've been so busy haven't been on here in a few days.
Our house hunt is going slow (well it feels like that to me but we've only really been looking seriously for a couple of weeks). The market is sparse right now in Surrey, but things are slowly perking up now it's January. We've viewed 5 places so far and the one we viewed today is the only serious contender so far. It was beautiful, 3 bedrooms which is a bonus as we are only after 2 for now, only downsides were no garden (it's an apartment) and some annoying stairs to go up to get to it as it's on the second floor of a little block above some village shops in a very sought after village in Surrey.
It's also 20k under our budget, and no onward chain which is fabulous, so we are a bit excited but we've got 6 viewings lined up next Saturday so we are trying to meet with our mortgage advisor friend ASAP to get things moving and obviously one of the places next week might be even better so who knows. I am hoping by the end of January we can at least have chosen a place and got the ball rolling. We've never brought a place before so I have absolutely no concept of how long on a chain free place things might take from start to finish.
How's your hunt going? Have you viewed anywhere yet?Our first baby due 25th May 2014 :T

Hello Ladies,
Becs and Mrs_T_M - I didn't realise it was possible this early to leak. I am now going to keep a look out. I'm thankful to have this forum because I have to admit that half the symptoms I have I am not sure I could discuss with my friends comfortably (most of them don't have children and are not interested in having them yet).
Sophiasmum - If I already had some baby items from a previous baby I would definitely be re-using them again. If we are lucky enough to have a second baby at some point I will hopefully be re-using the stuff we have now (although we wont be telling DH that as he will start freaking out about hoarding and clutter lol). Unfortunately we are the first in the family of my generation to be having a baby and the first in our social circle as well. Means no borrowing or buying cheaply from friends.
Have been and brought the nursery furniture today in the January sales so thats the two big things brought now. The pram and furniture were the things I wanted to get new so really pleased. I didn't realise how difficult these decisions would be. I think I found buying the pram as difficult as buying a car lol. I have also never looked at wardrobes in quite the same way, weighing up the pros and cons on the various number of rails, amount of shelving and number of drawers. By the end of this weekend I would not be surprised if all the sales assistants know us by name
For everything else I am scouring various places to get second hand. Also managed to pick up a huge bundle of second hand clothes this weekend in 0-3 months, most of which look brand new (the previous owner must have spent an actual fortune). There are over 100 items of clothing so the £12 I paid for it made it a real bargain. I was just wondering if anyone had any advice for the minimum amounts of clothing that would be needed in each size. For example, there were about 20 sleepsuits and 15 vests but only 5 long sleeved tops and 4 short sleeved tops. My little girl will be born in May so thinking we will be moving into warmer weather so buying a newborn snow suit would be a waste of money?? Any advice would be very much welcome. xx0 -
I'm not sure how much furniture babies need, really? We have a cot, a moses basket, car seat and pushchair left from when Isaac was a baby, and I certainly see no need to fork out for all that lot again, our baby will be equally special without being in a brand new car seat!...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0

That sounds lovely, it's so exciting to get the ball rolling. We've viewed about 12 properties so far (!) and the only one that we both really liked had sold when we called up do a second viewing (it was only on the market 4 days!). We are also really hoping that the market refreshes now so there's some new stuff on.
I've just sold my flat I had before I met DH chain free and that took just over 2 months as a guide. The process is really driven by the buyer's solicitor so it's worth getting a good one that will push it through if you go for it. Good luck!.0 -
Just posted this on the big thread but for those thinking of the babystyle ouster, kiddicare have good discounts on the colour packs, think the rrp is like £40 for them but we spotted a lovely claret colour one for the carry cot for £5 and I think the last time I was in the floral one was down to £15Little Lowe born January 2014 at 36+6

Unfortunately yes Alias, and we had a terrible one, so it's well worth getting some reviews. Also need to put their big fees in your budget. Good luck for the search - you too Becsxxx
Exciting times!
I can't wait until after 20 weeks to buy some bits. I am still too timid to go for it. We were at the in laws this weekend and MIL has knitted 10 cardigans so far! They were so sweet, and made me so excited. I did buy some maternity jeans though from H and M, I don't have a big bump yet but can't close my jeans anymore and a bit skint to buy the next size up, so I thought I'd go for it.
