Still stuck in bed as my hip is really
Painful to move. Had planned on cleaning house in preparation for the Christmas decorations going up :(

Going to see if a warm bath will ease it off a bit !

Feeling much better at last. Hope everybody else is on the mend too :)

Ok so I caved and bought more stuff earlier than I planned:

    http://www.mothercare.com/Philips-Avent-Complete-Natural-Starter-Set/346815,default,pd.html#q=Avent

Worked out that at Amazons cheapest ever prices it's about £77 worth. At current prices more like £95 worth. With 20% off today plus Quidco it works out about £57 delivered.
Treat everyday as your last one on earth! and one day you will be right.

Starting to gather bits and bobs and put things on a 'to buy' list.

Been looking into sterilisers and decided a cold water steriliser will be best for us - can only see Milton ones online, are these the best or does anyone know of a better option ??

  • Happy graduation Claire! Hope to see you soon :-)

Wow Rachel, such a nice surprise I bet! Welcome to the thread

Well we went and picked up the furniture we bought on Friday, bfs parents came with their car and van and we got all three pieces back in one trip and only had to take the cot down :-) it's now all in place.

We also got the sleep suits, matress, nest (one of those mouse ones which is a play nest at first then supports them sitting up as they grow), tommee tippee closer to nature set (everything we will need for feeding!!) And some wooly maternity tights :-). All thanks for the 20% offer.

Tonight we also ordered the breast pump which is today's advent calendar deal (half price) with the extra 20% off so have paid 35 for an electric pump!

Just need a dress for two Christmas. Meals now as the one I was going to. Wear is definitely not going to fit :'(

  • Samtoby- I'm debating whether to use reusables, we're having twins so a larger initial outlay but I hope manageable. There aren't any nappy libraries / advice centres around here and I don't know anyone who's used them before but I really want to do it.
  • Mary - Hi and thanks it was a mad scan because it was only meant to be a dating scan and the women asked did we want to know the sex...we of course said yes...I was only meant to be 14+1 aswell so a mad day all around. How many weeks are you?
Im high risk due to health issues so we are waiting until the 20 week scan or later to buy things.
Lush - Hi and thanks for the welcome its a amazing surprise and we are ecstatic but nervous obviously.
We have a busy few weeks Iv got a consultant appointment 10th Dec and hopefully my 20 week the 22nd Dec. Christmas and my birthday after and our 8 year anniversary in Jan. We were hoping to stay in a cottage for a few days but we are not sure yet.
    Hoping everyone is well.

Rachel I am 16 plus 4, a surprise for us too as we werebtrying but I have fertility issues so we were quite lucky as I got pregnant and didn't realise for a while!

I hope your health issues can be managed and that you sail through xxx
