I did once read a story about a white couple who had a black baby and had to do a DNA test to prove the women hadn't cheated, so stranger things have happened!0 -

Congratulations faith!
Squirrel I've had a lot of stretchy type pains in my bump the past few days, according to google it's normal but because of the bleeding I had it scares me. My bump does seem to have got bigger though the past week.
I've had horrible stomach pain at night ever since I got pregnant I don't know if it's a indigestion thing or what.
I'm also getting hip pain really bad, and now twinges in my tops of my legs & sides.
It's just the ones on the bump that freak me out. Also when the baby moved right to the front if I'm walking, it's really hard to walk it's quite uncomfortable! She sometimes moves down quite low at night too and i can feel something really hard!
And just had a stressful day at work. One of the kids almost hit me in the stomach, luckily I had my arms in the way.
Definitely thinking about early maternity leave now.0 -
My brother just came with lotsa baby things they aren't using anymore that will save me a fortune ! Some toddler stuff but have plenty storage.
Have got a caterpillar rocker
A bumbo and tray
A sit in activity centre (one of the kind of high up ones, well not floor level)
A baby walker
An interactive cot mobile with timer
A playgym
a Bounce and spin Zebra
This is the first lot of baby things to be in the house and it's nice just having them here, leaving them out til weekend as cat and dog been over at them sniffing suspiciously so will let them get used to them before putting them away in storage til each item is needed.0 -
hello girls !! I am a "Nanny" in waiting !! my "baby" is due to have her first baby on the 2nd of April ! and I find this thread very useful helpful reading ! ...she has suffered very little sickness but is suffering from what we think maybe sciatia ? terrible pain running down her back to her leg !...she had a scare a few weeks ago and went for an Emergency scan but the baby was fine (thank goodness) she was just over doing things at work !....this Friday she has her 2nd proper scan and we find out if we can expect a girl or a boy ! not sure who is more excited at this stage ? , my spare room is filling fast with all sorts of baby goodies in preparation for the arrival !, I shall let you know after Friday what news I have ! :beer:0

Hi scamp dog can I ask what the scare was as I had one myself.
I was reading just yesterday that often that type of leg pain in pregnancy isn't normally sciatica, it's part of SPD but often misdiagnosed. I'm not saying it's not, just what I read!0 -
Can I add me to the list?
I'm due 14th May, scan on 27th December...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -
Whoop woop! Welcome cllola!! Nice to see you on the next thread finally! *does a happy dance*
Con1888 we aren't in Scotland and we didn't get charged for our scan photos, in fact the most recent scan we had (12 weeks) we got 4 photos all for free. So maybe each hospital makes their own decision. Ours though does have a little donation box in the waiting room should you wish to donate.
All the baby stuff you got sounds amazing! The bumbo seat and tray are brilliant, my best friend uses it with her 7 month old. It's one of the first things we brought at last weeks nearly new sale
Vickyvics I spoke to a yoga teacher (one who is an expert in 'birthlight') at our hospitals early pregnancy open evening a couple of weeks ago. I am going to start her antenatal yoga classes in a couple of weeks time. She said they teach breathing techniques and relaxation techniques for labour. I was quite impressed and am really looking forward to it!
Wow I have lots of scan buddies on the 13th Jan!! So happy about that! Our first baby due 25th May 2014 :T

Claire16c I've been having really bad hip pain tooI think you're supposed to just make sure you're not sitting in one position for too long, and I find a hot water bottle helps too just rested on where the pain is. I am though going to go to the doctors or talk to my midwife about it if it continues because it is getting unbearable
