    Yay! Thank you :)
  • I am not too fussed about finding out whether we are team blue or pink. However, DH and MIL are desperate to know so I am happy to go with them. Plus we know our boys name if its a girl but cannot agree about girls names. I have a feeling its a boy. Seems to make sense to save girl name arguments until we know its definitely a girl.

Today I have been to an aqua natal class and have been researching yoga. Having done some reading apparently some classes can teach you to breath during labour. Seems like an awesome idea to me. x
  • Girls' names are likely to be harder for us than boys' names - we're more or less confined to the Old Testament, as OH is a joint British / Israeli national, and we need a name that makes sense both there and in Israel (thus, DS is "Isaac").

Girls' names are further restricted by the fact that the surname begins with an "O", and anything that ends with an "a" or sounds as if it does (like, say, "Eleanor") sounds absolutely awful. And the surname is long and complicated, and hard to spell and pronounce, so long names are out, too, really.

Added to that, OH hasn't said any names he does like, but he's said he doesn't like any of the ones I've suggested so far. David, Ben or Benjamin, and Joseph are all out, apparently.
...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.

Joseph was a favourite of mine but OH doesn't like it. I would probably have shortened it to Joe/Joey, he doesn't like that either so it's pretty much out :(
  • Thanks for the luck. The scan went well today although baby was being a little pickle. We ended up there for sooo long and even had to get up and walk around to help the baby move into place.

We didn't actually get offered the chance to find out the sex so I cheekily asked! She was surprised and had another look and said that she couldn't be certain etc. but said its most likely a.........girl! Really pleased :)
  • Congratulations, faith!

  • Grrrr this pain is just not going anywhere!! Blood tests came back today, nothing to suggest liver, kidney or gallbladder so guess it must be muscle. Doesn't really reassure me though as I still in a great deal of pain. Was hoping to go back to work tomorrow but not sure how I'll feel. I'm annoyed as yesterday I was fine all evening and had the first comfortable nights sleep for a few days. Today I wake up and it's back with a vengeance!

On the plus side I saw baby move on my belly today. Was a little weird but in a good way!!!

Hope the pain eases up Squ1rrel5.
I have another scan tomorrow, not really sure why as we declined 1st trimester screening and we had our dating scan last week, but I won't say no to another look at wee bean :) Hubby is working so my mum, and maybe the teenager, will come along. The teenager is quite interested in all that is going on which is nice

The nct class I go to teaches breathing for labour plus yoga. We also do massage and relaxation, I love it!
It's good to meet other mums to be.

Fab new faith, another girl on the list!! It's getting very pink on there!
