Morning everyone
Absolutely bucketing it down here - have we now skipped summer and gone straight to autumn
N9eav, try putting a request on Freecycle - you could offer to have it cleaned when you have finished and someone might loan you a tuxedo.
Made a loaf in the bm yesterday, and DH actually ate some of it this time, so maybe he is coming round to my opinion of hm vs shop bread
Shopping today, must remember not to buy potatoes as mine are ready for picking on the allotment :T
Hope everyone has a good day xYou're only young once, but you can be immature forever0 -

Well its still raining and forcast says its here for the week! Dh football team started training for the new season last night, so i stood for 2 hours in pouring rain taking subs filling in new contact forms and registrasion forms, and running the tuck shop, please someone remind me why i do this!! I feel awful this morning, tierd and stiff, but all for the kids hey!!

Hi everyone.
It's sunny here at the moment, but I think we had rain in the night, because the cats were damp lol.
Daughter a lot better now. She ate yesterday, so that was good. Thinking she could do with a vitimin boost, so thinking of getting some vitamin tablets, but not sure what one's. She is coming up for 10. I've always relied on fruit etc. but she is def. not as good as she should be, because she has not long got over another virus a couple of weeks ago, so think her system must be a bit low. I have some multivits with added iron that I take, but not sure if they'd be the right ones for her. Bit concerned the iron might give her constipation ????
Will be going to a cafe based thing at our church which is for mums and little ones. As I'm a gran with little ones at the moment, I feel I qualify :-) I shall probably give a helping hand, because they are short of helpers. Last week I did the drinks. It was packed, and apparently, it wasn't the busiest day they'd had !!!!!!??????
A blessed and prosperous day to everyone.
Hugs all round.0 -
Forgot to say, bf came out of hospital yesterday. He wanted to be alone, so I've not seen him. Not been told what they found, but guess I'll find out in time:rolleyes:Comping, Clicking & Saving for Change0

Good morning all
Hugs to Twink, I had 4 children & DD2 went to A&E twice with broken bones but the others never broke anything, her son is my DGS, I've given up worrying now as every time I look after him, he goes back with a bump or a lump somewhere. My DD alwyas tells me that she know's I do everything poss to keep him safe, so I'm not to worry. Also, I have a garden & DD2 lives in an upstairs flat so DGS has more opportunity here to take a tumble.
Finally got to bed at 12 last night & been up since 5, WM is on, DW is on, Cats fed, Thumper & Ogden fed, watered & released, fish fed, hubby dropped at station, car packed with raspberry muffins & chocolate fudge cake, invoices typed & printed, can I go to bed now? Ooops no I have to go to work now till 5:30, good news is it takes me 10 mins to get to work.
Hope everyone has a great day.
Hugs to all
Hester

Morning Guys!
Hope everyone is well, as I havent managed to look through yet as I have a bad headache. Evil nurse has been and I have another break tomorrow, but back again Sunday:rolleyes:
WM is just about to go on, DW has been emptied and toilet cleaned.
DD is off school with another sore throat. Must get her along to the GPs as this should warrant her now to have her tonsils out as its monthly and has been going on for around 6 months now. She cant keep having days off school either!
Had an opticians appointment yesterday and I have got to wear glasses for the computer, reading etc. In 2 years they have deteriated quite badly, but optician thinks this could be to do with my illnesses and medication i am on. I picked a lovely pair (had to be nearly the most dearest) but after NHS voucher, 10% discount from OH (he has insurance on his Ted Baker;s), another discount from optician (we have been there since DD was 18 months and practically call her mum:D ) and I will get half back from HSA....they cost me £90:eek:
Anyway, Im off to get a brew. Hugs to all.

Good morning, all!
Twink - glad you are back. These things do happen, but it's always worse when it's not your own, you feel more responsible somehow. My mum felt bad when our 2 DSs were at hers, and they were all playing a game of boules (with the metal boules) and on her turn, she threw the boule and at the exact same moment DS2 moved right into the line of it, just in front & it hit him on the forehead. The speed at which the lump appeared was frightening, terrified his elder brother & mum of course. But he was fine, and certainly doesn't hold any grudges now!
Well, the day looks as if it is brightening up outside. DS & I have a visit to an owl sanctuary in Suffolk today, he's not particularly interested in owls - but all his friends are going!
Anyway, (((((hugs))))) to all, whether you want them or not! (have to go, DH will be wondering where his cuppa is!)
Have a good day!0 -

Morning all, it's a grotty old day up here, not nice at all.
I'm up early because we're off to France tomorrow for a week, so lots to do. Have already stripped the bed, stuck it in the WM (TD will have to go on I'm afraid!), emptied DW, cleaned the gunk out of the bottom of the DW, cleaned hob & s/steel splashback, sorted bins & recycling, tidied my office, checked online banking, made a :coffee:, sent out the obligatory "I'm on holiday next week" email to my staff & colleagues and here I am, posting on the daily thread before 8am!
I still have to stick a dark load in the WM, iron a few bits & pieces, shower & dress, paint my toe nails, remove varying amounts of body hair (;)), pack, remake the bed and hoover. Oh yes, and do 8 hours work!
There's some leftover chicken in the fridge, so it's going to be a caesar salad for lunch & we're going out to tonight for a Thai.
Hugs to all, WM has just finished so bestter go empty it. Have a lovely day0 -
Good morning. Puring down here again today. DD is off to the O2 festival at Harewood tomorrow - she's packing her wellies
Twink and Kyle, good to see you back :grouphug:
Made an orange and raisin loaf in the BM o/n using orange juice instead of water. Yummy - will put some mixed peel and orange zest in next time.
I'm off to the dentist this afternoon to have my broken tooth looked at - wish me luck.
Have a great day, Penny. x:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0
