Hi, this is the Daily Thread for today This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!

When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.

Morning everyone

Just getting the daily started, having had a fairly sleepless night. OK I keep repeating myself about sleepless nights sorreee!

Plans for today include a visit to the library, a trip to the garden centre, and not a lot else. Taking it easy this week, well I am on holiday! Just wish it would stop tipping it down.

Have a wonderful Friday all.

Snowy

I thought Iwould be the only one on board at this time, wrong! Are we sleepless, or sad? I get fed up of lying there unable to get back to sleep while everyone else in the house is in the land of nod. So now I get up and use the time sorting on line banking and looking at boards I sometimes contribute to. Just heard on Wednesday that I am going to be redundant at work, hubby not working either but not told him yet. Have been wanting to leave for a long time so in a way it is a relief to know that I will no longer have to suffer at the hands of a bully, but a worry moneywise.

Morning Snowy & all to follow.

Cant beleive Im the 2nd poster - will probably post the same time as someone else.

Awake at 5 and couldnt go back to sleep but thats ok, I now will have a headstart on the day.

Yesterdays plans changed completely - didnt go out for lunch as builder was still here and couldnt go out in the evening because of the torrential rain - at least it was money saving.

Got one of my horrible paperwork jobs done yesterday so that was very pleasing - basically Im inputting all my business in's and out's onto spreadsheets to get totals to send to my accountant - if I had done them at the end of each month as I should it would have taken me minutes! Did my business yesterday and doing OH's today which is a much bigget job. Needless to say once Ive done last years I will start this years and I WILL do it each month.

Forgot Ive got the hairdressers today but hopefully will be finished by then, hair desperatly needs a cut so cant wait. No idea whats for lunch today - probably ham rolls and we are having hm curry for tea. DS has got footie training tonight so hope it stops raining by then.

Need to do some washing which will be draped all over the house, looks like the same for the whole weekend.

Going to have a mooch round MSE now enjoying the peace and quiet then empty dw & load wm.
    Have a great Friday.

Edited to say - just knew someone would beat me - welcome Rovinia

Morning. It looks pretty wet out there today with some very heavy downpours.
Had a great golf day yesterday. 36 holes and 3 meals. Excellent day out.
Trouble is I am stiff all over now and my feet hurt. I have not played for a long time and so my 'golfing' muscles are showing themselves today.

Work soon, and a funeral. No one I knew personally, but attendance is required.
Tomorrow off and thing are looking good for the weekend.

I still need to get a Tuxedo for my son's school leavers ball... any ideas welcome... E-bay does not have anything the right size and hire charges are enormous.

Well cheers everyone and have a nice day.

Amie Did you do the chicken dish?

    Good morning everyone,

Dont worry about mentioning the not sleeping Snowy, im the same here!!!!!

Just 2 LOs here today, so planning on catching up with myself, and also making binoculars out of kitchen/toilet rolls today - its all go at my house!!!!

Not raining at the mo, so ive just put some of the half dried stuff out on the line, hopefully if the rain stays away for an hour or so it will all be dry so i can get that out of the way (i hate having to dry the washing indoors in the summer!!!).

Will be going shopping tonight when the children are at their youth club, worked well last week, no children to worry about and as its after 6pm, a fair few yellow stickered items!!!

Thats about it, ((HUGS)) to all who need/want one, hope everyone has a lovely day,
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Morning Snowy, EG, rovinia (welcome), and all who follow.

Already at w*rk, but 11 am finish because of it.

DS bringing more possessions (junk) home from his uni room. He's finished now, so think we may persuade (force) him to go through everything and decide what will be any use in the future and what he wouldn't use/wear under any circumstances (he'll learn) so that I can e-bay.freecycle, throw those things.

Friends here for the weekend, were doing some outside jobs, but weather definitely against it at the moment, so we may just get wet inside as well as out IUKWIM   Trying to think of some places to go in the wet, but mind blank at the moment.

    Better crack on.

((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))))) to anyone who'd like/need one.

rovinia - don't keep the news to yourself too long, DH needs to know.

    Have a gr8t Friday

    Morning Everyone

Snowy I can sympathise with the sleepless nights. Not doing too great at getting kip myself at the moment so (((hugs))) to you

At work yet again. Just had a smoothie for breakfast. Figured it would get some vitamins into me

Working all weekend - hoping to earn a day off! Put the request in for a month off yesterday. It's been approved in theory by four bosses, now it has to go to head office!!!

Hoping to meet a Great Auntie for the first time later. She called last night saying she's in town until Saturday on holiday. So a family reunion could be pencilled in for this evening.

    Hope everyone's ok

    morning everyone

just popped on to thank everyone for their support either on here or in a pm all very much appreciated, it goes without saying that i feel so guilty that the accident happened while i was looking after LO
i brought up three of my own without incident and i dont think i would recommend anyone to have a stairgate at the top of the stairs, far better at the bedroom door, hindsight is a great thing
LO is being very brave, hope he slept better last night
havent really read through much posts but hugs to all who need them and Happy Birthday to the haribo twins for yesterday

    love to all xx
