Oops - sorry I called you a chap! And you're right; it shouldn't change things in the slightest (unless the 'friend' has a problem with your GF being gay; in which case she's even more pathetic than I thought).

I still say you deserve more respect than you are being shown by either of the other parties. They need to grow up and stop being so infantile and thoughtless. x

Better to do that at 5 months than at 5 years with a joint mortgage etc...

The point is that it shouldn't be tough at 5 months, and if it is, it better be a good reason; not a friend having a hissy fit.
