She has said she is done with the friendship now, I don't know what to say. I feel sorry for her but don't see why I should be pushed aside too.

I feel a little angry but I'm just going to bite my lip and wait till I'm called back for relationship duties!

Perhaps that's how the friend has felt about your GF?

I really don't know, we don't know what sort of relationship your GF has had with this person...but if you turn round and say 'Excellent idea, I'll give the lads a call and go on the razz' I'm sure she might perk into studious girlfriend mode again.

Have your GF and her friend ever been more than friends? The friend seems very put-out that her friend now has a GF. She should be pleased for you both, not causing problems!

True, just make sure she knows you are not pining by the phone waiting to be called back into the relationship.

Sounds about as mentally mature as a 14 year old. That's how they behave.

By blocking on social networks as the ultimate insult, if they spend time with another girl or boy. You're stealllllling my bwestest fwiennndd.

Thing is, the friendship probably will be more important to her, you haven't been together that long.

However in your shoes, I wouldn't be waiting around like a lost puppy until she decides what she is going to do.

Let her get on with it. Can you imagine the drama over a long term relationship? House buying, weddings, children, family doo's?

    4 options:

    1. Go and pull the female friend

    2. Tell her to make it over a weekend and you can go out with your mates. Hopefully you might meet some one who doesnt have a whiff of cooking bunnies about them.

    3. Double dates: Do you have a single mate that you dont really like but is in dire need of hot bunny boiler sex to mess his life up?

    4. Hammer frozen sausages in her lawn

In my experience this kind of falling out and throwing toys out of the pram often happens in gay female (and male) friendships and relationships. Sometimes it all blows over and sometimes it doesn't, it depends on the women involved.
.................:)....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

OP, I think you should say 'she may have a point, we have been spending a lot of time together, why don't you go out with her this weekend, I could do with seeing my mates too'.

I do however get the gut feeling they're going to be out on the pull and you're for the old heave, ho :(

I'd 100% value my friendship over someone I'd only (known?) for five months!! I don't think you should feel pushed aside.. 'Hate to say it'?? My bestfriend is really important to me, she's up there with my family & oh.

But I must stress that the friend shouldn't be acting like this unless you've done something terrible and not told us!

I too had friends at school who ignored us every few months when they got a boyfriend, when said girl eventually broke up with bf it was all tears...

There is also respect for the person you are in a relationship with. Setting him aside at the drop of a hat then resuming whenever you fancy as the OP's gf is doing just doesn't speak well for her.
