No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries October 2013

I have been quite ruthless today. Went through one of my many stash boxes whilst having a good old clear out and tidy up and chucked away half a carrier bag of part used products which smelt like they had gone off.
I hate throwing stuff out but some times it just has to be done. They would've been no use to anyone and at least that has made a bit of a dent in the part used stuff that was sitting there gathering dustOne day Rodney we'll be millionaires£2020 in 2020 - Running Total £170 -
TA foot pads that literally do nothing! Useless so have thrown them. last of my clear out, gosh the only things I should have to buy over the next few years are deoderent, razors, hair dye, shower gel and shampoo and conditoner...might have to challenge myself to that over the next few months as feel slightly sick at how much I have x
SAME!! I guess that's why we're all here thoughI have so much shower gel too though aswell so I barely need to buy anything! And yet somehow things creep in...that's why I'm here I have some INS to report

Finally a use up to counteract all those ins!
19. Lush Aqua Mirabilis body scrub bar - WNBA as found the bar a bit fiddly - cut it up so as not to waste product by melting it all accidentally, but the little bits were too hard to hold on to. Would rather just have a nice liquid scrub. No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries in January!UU: 5, IN: 2Total Stash: 99 - ultimate target 33 (year start 99)0 -
Couple of unexpected OUTs! Hurrah!
3 - Dove compressed spray. Have more deos in stash but quite liked this.
4 - Clinique clarifying lotion no. 2, travel sized. Nice fresh clean feeling, but made my skin a bit dry.Cookie, I think you're tame. :heart2:

The North of England (Manchester) and Cardiff offices linked to Give and Make Up are still open for donations. If you click on Email it brings up an email address.
Baltic cruises *sigh*. Mum was from Estonia and Dad was from Latvia. I've got relatives in both Tallinn (Estonia's capital) and Riga (Latvia's capital) though most of my Estonian family is in or near to Tartu, which is Estonia's second city.
I have to accept that with my current mobility it isn't likely that I'll get to do the cruise. Oh well.
UU. Avon Rich Moisture Family Cream, 400 ml. WIBA? Already had and just ordered one more as it was on offer yet again.
I absolutely love this, smells and feels like Aveeno, but is much, much cheaper when on offer.
It can be used all over, including the face, though I just keep it for body use.
It rubs in really well and doesn't have that annoying pearlescent quality (that leaves marks all over clothing) that seems to be a feature of many an Avon body product.
Hi AND
Tallin is lovely and quite compact. My mobility is compromised by very painful ankles (not arthritis - but as yet no diagnosis), minor surgery a year ago improved things a little, so we chose this cruise as the easiest option of seeing new places. Only whistle stop visits, but still very worthwhile. The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -

Back OT...
UU:
6. Sanctuary Body Wash 75ml - WMBA, I like the scent but it doesn't lather very well without a shower puff so not great for my gym bag. Replaced with same!
7. Simple Refreshing Facial Wash Gel 50ml - WNBA, I had had this for yonks and finally decided to put it to use. I much prefer foaming cleansers, or at the very least cream ones - I didn't feel that this really cleaned my face. Also not even sure if you can still buy this! Need to hunt out a gym bag replacement...
If you enjoy seeing new places and beautiful old buildings, then yes thoroughly recommend.

The Scandinavian countries we visited were wonderful ,we particularly enjoyed the mix of very old and beautifully designed modern buildings, no "carbuncles" noticed anywhere we went. It would be great to spend 2 or 3 days in each city.
OH and I have only travelled since we neared retirement, no cash when we were younger:(
On topic, I nearly convinced myself this morning that I should try the Perricone TSV on Q, but have not succumbed as yet. Next Spring perhaps, when I have reduced the skin care stash to appropriate levels:rotfl:The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -
My Glossybox will be arriving soon, and I'll need to try to make some room for it! I'm thinking of taking a break after this months box arrives, but I wondered if they do anything special for the Christmas box. Does anyone know? I might get the December one if I can expect something special!
It's been a slow month so far for me. I've identified a good few products that are getting low, but I don't think I'll have more out than in this month.0 -
Yay :j Just caught up on the last 6 pages! Life is breakneck speed at the moment and I just got soo behind!! Much to declare, rather afraid I'm playing catchup so far this month as started with INs.
Firstly though, Divorce treats well in order evidsquid and they sound suitably fabulous too
Loving the stash pics also, ever the voyeur
Ok, so to start my TBS order I did while there was 50% off arrived v promptly so thats 6 items:
Raspberry Shower Gel
Satsuma Shower Gel
Cocoa Butter Shower Cream
Vitamin E Night Cream
Vitamin E Cream Cleanser
Almond Hand & Nail Cream
Not too naughty as all either needed now, soon or will definitely get used in the near-ish future! Was only just over £20 too with the discount.
Other generous IN from a FB swap are:
TBS Coconut soap
L'Occitane Bonne Mere Honey soap (looks too pretty to use!)
Lush Honey I Washed the Kids soap
E45 Nourish and Restore lotion sachets x 3
L'Occitane Brightening Moisture mask
L'Occitane Cream Mask
Finally, I picked up Instyle yesterday for the REN set as really like these products, despite thinking this mag is pretty rubbish - not bad though on the special offer price, may get another yet as travel size things are so handy.... I was tempted by Marie Claire for the hand cream but I really like the Almond TBS cream I just got so decided not to bother for the extra £4 ish for the price of the mag
So that's 17 IN.....Not sorry though as love it all!! :rotfl:

Have also managed some UU for Oct so far:
Hugo Boss Femme Shower Gel - had a bit of a PRCP moment with this set of perfume, shower gel and body lotion which has sat unopened on a shelf for months - not quite sure what I was waiting for, felt a bit extravagant using for everyday use but realistically when was I going to use it?! WBA - lovely fragrance
No. 7 Heavenly Hydration Moisture Mask - WNBA - its probably called something else by now, been kicking around for ages, from one of the OOTW hat boxes a year or two ago if memory serves me right. Left my skin feeling soft but also ever so slightly irritated when it was on - can't have loved it that much or it wouldn't have been such a LHJ
Sure Clear Pure Crystal Deo - Sure is my HG deo, however, I thought I was imagining things at first but had two bottles of this variant now and its definitely not as good as say Cotton Fresh - just sometimes feels like it needs reapplying as I feel a bit sticky and I really don't sweat much whatsoever, definitely not as good as the rest for some weird reason?!
Eucerin Hydrating Care - WNBA but can't really say its a fair trial of a product when you've only a one use sachet to go off, makes me wonder why they bother for this kind of product..
E45 Nourish and Restore sachet x 2 actually really like the smell and consistency of this but probably WNBA as its just not exciting enough! Is that terrible??
Kenzo Flower in the Air sample - WNBA, not for me this one, nothing dislikeable just didn't grab me
L'Oreal Preference Condition - WBA as comes with my go-to hair colour
Philip Kingsley Elasticizer - WNBA - this one is a GA, I know this is a HG wonder product for some but all it did for my hair was to make it ultra soft in a can't do a thing with it way, not good, felt like I had candy floss hair!
That's a total of 10, I can still catch the INs back up if I'm strict
That's me all up-to-date bar my actual stash list which I've not tackled yet for the beginning of the month... Maybe tomorrow!
Edit: That's only nine! Missed off some Vichy Idealist serum - seemed nice enough but only a couple of use sachet so hard to gauge benefits. Didn't ball foundation so that's good, was more of a creamy consistency than the last one I tried and didn't like - WMBA0 -
UU
Boots smile 6+ toothpaste - WBA this is a hit with DDNo more buying toiletries0
