So, I need an eye cream for fine lines, dark circles and sensitive skin. No idea what to get as I've never really used one before.

Liz Earle Daily Eye Repair is lovely though I haven't used it for a while due to receiving GWPs from other Brands. LE kept my under eye really hydrated. The Clinique gel type eye cream is also good but LE is probably cheaper to buy and more economical to use.

As someone else said concealer is probably better for under your eyes. I use the Tesco own brand one which is a good copy of Benefit Boing. It is a putty type though so if you have sensitive skin under your eye it may not be ideal for you.

    Hi Val
It was great thanks. Visited Copenhagen, Tallinn, Berlin, Helsinki, Stockholm and St Petersburg (not in that order). Our cabin was great, the food was good and we met some nice people. Small ship - 800 people - just right for us, though I still kept getting lost.:rotfl:It worked really well for us as a floating hotel and mode of transport combined, but don't think that we would like days and days at sea. Rather sea-sick one day and had to miss Dinner, realised it was getting bad when they put the sick bags out. LOL

Trying not to look at nail polish, but don't suppose that will last too long. :o

Sounds fab except the seasickness. I remember feeling pretty icky when we sailed through the Bay of Biscaigne (sp?).

Another UU today and sadly 2 INs expected:-

UU : Gok body butter as anticipated. This was the one in the pink pot. WNBA. Don't like the smell or texture. Has been a LHJ to finish it. In fact I only had enough for my legs so have also used Good Works Bergamot and Juniper body oil on top half. This is spluttering also. Am at the stage where I am tipping it from the bottle as the pump doesn't reach.

2 INS are my Avon order that my friend has brought into work. Will be adding two more lip crayons to the stash. Hope they are as good as the Max Factor one I have.
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

    Have two uu to report

CND Solar Oil - Have been using this on my cuticles for years, it is a lovely almond scented oil but the price has risen a lot since I last bought it so for now I have refilled the bottle (nail varnish type bottle with brush) with Holland & Barrett Wonder Oil.

Korres Guava Body Butter - 50ml, WNBA, this had an unusual scent, nice enough though and it lasted but it was more a body cream than butter and overall for the price Korres charge it was nothing special.

    Three UUs to report:

Alpha-H Anti-Aging Cleanser 15ml WMBA quite a nice hot cloth cleanser but plenty more to try before I would buy this again. Small trial size tube lasted really well.

Alpha-H Absolute Eye Complex 7.5ml WNBA no discernable benefit from this product that I had so coveted after reading rave reviews. I think hair gel would have been equally effective. Small tube, seemed to last forever!

Sanctuary Spa - Nourish Body Butter 50ml the third and hopefully final of these from various age old gift sets. I am so over it and hope I never smell this stuff ever again!

  • Umm... Oops. I popped into Lush this morning as it opened to drop off my best friend's scarf that she left at mine last night... She wouldn't let me buy a Pumkin on Sunday because there weren't any pretty ones left (and I wanted to photograph it for my blog), but this morning the new box came in, and she'd saved me the nicest one! So I bought that, which is one IN. And then she said that there were two Pumkins out the back that got crushed in transit, so they couldn't sell them and were about to throw them away, and did I want them. YES. Yes I did.
So 3 INs, all Pumkins, for the price of one!

Is there some sort of technical problem on here? That's the third time I've seen the same thing posted twice!

My mum and I went on a cruise in 2001, it was wonderful, I'd go again any time! Horrendous if you don't want to put on weight though, free food everywhere, all the time and gorgeous food at that!

We went with P&O on the Oriana, we went to Vigo, Lisbon, Madeira, Tenerife, Lanzarote, Gran Canaria and Casablanca.

Only two things I didn't like - on the crossing over to Spain from Southampton we went over the Bay of Biscay in a force 9 gale, I've never been so sick in my life! My mum who had recently been hospitalised with the big C, was fine, I looked in the mirror and my skin was actually green! I had to somehow make it from our cabin at one end of the ship (c-deck, so badly placed for sea sickness) to the sick bay at the other end for an sea sickness injection. Oddly enough I don't normally get sea sick at all, I'm worse with cars!

And Casablanca, horrid place, went through a market with all these emaciated cats about and past a stall selling unfrigerated horsemeat  I love horses and cats so it was one of the worst places I've been to in my entire life :( To this day I can still smell the horsemeat when I think of it.

Kadison, what a great gesture re the toiletries to the refuge; some of us on here did this via Give and Make Up a while ago.
The North of England (Manchester) and Cardiff offices linked to Give and Make Up are still open for donations. If you click on Email it brings up an email address.

Baltic cruises *sigh*. Mum was from Estonia and Dad was from Latvia. I've got relatives in both Tallinn (Estonia's capital) and Riga (Latvia's capital) though most of my Estonian family is in or near to Tartu, which is Estonia's second city.
I have to accept that with my current mobility it isn't likely that I'll get to do the cruise. Oh well.

UU. Avon Rich Moisture Family Cream, 400 ml. WIBA? Already had and just ordered one more as it was on offer yet again.
I absolutely love this, smells and feels like Aveeno, but is much, much cheaper when on offer.
It can be used all over, including the face, though I just keep it for body use.
It rubs in really well and doesn't have that annoying pearlescent quality (that leaves marks all over clothing) that seems to be a feature of many an Avon body product.
Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.

Those are all places I want to go, I'm jealous! :) I might try and head to Scandinavia for my holidays next year so I should start saving now!

One small In (OK not that small) - I was looking at magazines and had forgotten about the L'Occitane hand cream in MC, so now I have the violet one. I like Parma Violets so am hoping to smell like one too :rotfl:

Had a quick look through the magazine but it seemed very light on actual content, I hardly ever buy magazines any more and now I remember why!
