Saver-upper - why don't you set aside the dinner money & scout money on one day when you're spending anyway and then you can count Monday and Thursday as NSDs! We can all make up our own "rules" on this challenge.

    I've managed NSD #9 and #10 this weekend :T and TARGET:beer:.

Think I'm going to try for another 5 NSDs by the end of the month! Probably not particularly realistic but will give me something to aim for. Will update my signature shortly.

I'm not doing at all well this month. I think I would be better at doing a weekly budget rather that a monthly budget to cover food and cleaning.

I want to get down to a budget of £8 per day for 2 adults and two dogs. I hope it will be achievable. Unfortunately, I have overspent £72.81 so far this year (my year is July- June) so I need to claw that money back, I buy my meat in bulk direct from the butcher, and usually allow an average of £2 per day on meat, which leaves £6 for the rest but because I have already overspent I am going to cut it to £5.50 per day or £38.50 per week. It will be the end of Feb before I'm back where I should be with my 50p's per day.

I'm just off to the SM with only cash and a tightened belt - no cards- wish me luck!!!

kerri - your request re the cobwebs duly noted. I will be personally supervising Igor as he puts up the decorations, as I too recall some hairy moments as NSD gang members had to abseil up and down the webbing last year before they could get to the bar. And when they got there, Igor's pumpkin brandy had clotted. Don't think Mr Tennant minded too much, though, as he made his wobbly, dangly way to the Tardis....that reminds me, must check to see if Spoon has got it serviced and MOTd.

Anyway, NSD-wise, another cheeky little NSD has minced its way into the Cauldron of Doom which brings my score now to 11.

  • I had a NSD 10.
Today is a really rubbish day.
Me and my partner broke up last night, went to talk to him today and it ended up with my starting to get physical - I'm really not like that but he made me so mad I feel so terrible about it.
Then I had my root canal surgery done today.
And i smashed my phone by throwing it.

So I ruined my chances with him and everything in my life is broken :(
