hi all,
a nice subject for once from me lol
im getting married next year to my lovely man and it will be second time round for both of us. Its not a traditional church do but I would still like to wear a nice wedding dress as I didn't do it first time round.
im not an extravagant type of person so the traditional meringue style dress is out and I think ive found a few I like
but............
I don't want to marry in white, im liking red.......
thoughts???

If you like it, do it! It's your choice. I got married in purple!0

There is no law that says you have to wear white. If you don't want to, then don't. You could wear a dressing gown and a pair of flippers, nobody would have a say about it. Wear what you like!0

Wear what you want, it doesn't even have to be a dress, there are no rules!0

I wore red (and it was my first wedding :rotfl:, Mum was scandalised but won around by the pretty dress) I think a lot of the superstitions around getting married are complete nonsense - wear what you want to and celebrate in the way that makes you happy as a couple. Congratulations :grouphug:0

Wear whatever colour you like! It's your day.0

Oooh i love red, how about red and white, have a bit of both in there? Red is the traditional colour in asian weddings
nothing wrong with being a bit unconventional ;-)

Go for it, your day, your choice. And then get over to the weddings board for loads of hints and tips0

Nooooo.... The beauty of that board is there's so many people doing different things. Marrying abroad, doing it on a budget, big and small, traditional or quirky. It's under special occasions
Eta: from the main forum home page it's now a sub-thread to the Christmas/festive board0
