I too am on the edf blue price promise April 2014 tariff.
I feel to get the benefit of this tarrif , i have to stay with it for this winter , after all , thats when we use more energy.
Once the winter has past, then i will begin to look. Unless something amazing comes along.
The sooner EDF build their new nuclear reactor the better :-)0 -
I'm on this tarriff, and have been checking prices regularly. No other provider has tempted me away yet. Think I'll stick for the winter0

Now that this tariff is nearing an end, let me rekindle this thread as now is the time to switch....
I will be researching and posting my findings here but in the meantime, if someone has already done so please share the info!0 -
Hi I've just switched to southern electric march 2017 fix it's a bit cheaper than the edf march 2017 fix. it does have exit fees .it will cost more but we have had the edf April 2014 fix which has been a cheap fix0
-
I switched to bg may 2015 said a saving of £77 compared to edf's june 20150
-
Edf actually tell you of cheaper deals, well the did me anyway.Isnt it part of the "promise"0

EDF haven't told me of any cheaper deals!! ...got a letter from them yesterday, warning that the end of the tariff was just around the corner!
The surprising thing about the EDF letter was that the current standard variable tariff is actually more than the Blue fix til June 2015 Prices for both utilities!!!.................and the standard variable gas prices are even more than the March 2017 deal ! How does that make economic sense??
Best deal I can see for me currently is Ovo fix til June 2016 -but it will still cost me £260 per year more than currently:eek:0 -
You sure about the OVO cost as its costing me £60 a year more based on my EDF usage via view my bill .
Today received second EDF email showing the new EDF tariffs.0 -
First Utility 2015 is looking cheapest for me. But I'm moving in 2 weeks so I'm going to have to take Blue Price Promise April 2015 to my new house and then start looking in mid April. I know quite a few people on this tariff so will b really good to see what everyone else has decided!
And the new EDF fix is not a 'promise' one AFAIK which is why they haven't told you any different. If you compare figures based on Blue Price Promise April 2015 it comes up cheapest stillSpreadsheet-obsessed.0 -
