could someone clarify, I want to sell as soon as possible. I did not choose nominee or share certificate and bought them on the website.

What's the cheapest way and when is the soonest I can sell. I believe it's tuesday.....but how do i go about selling on tuesday?

    Thanks in advance:)

I'd been interested in knowing this too as a newbie. I do know the earliest you can sell will be Tuesday.

They're doing you a favour. It'll be over £5 within the week.

If that is the case (and that can't be known), that's no good for those wanting to buy more now!

Or buy.... Seems like HL weren't the best choice for RM. A few people on here have managed to sell but they were with different brokers. Just surprised that HL dealt pretty well with the high demand (very busy phone lines but no website crashes) during application stage but not during trading stage.

I would think that this must damage HL's reputation. They always try to position themselves as a kind of 'premier' brand in the market.

Maybe they are just like everybody else?

I couldn't get through by phone for the application. I had to do everything online without having my queries answered. As it turned out there were no problems with the online application. However their website login is completely unusable at present. I wouldn't like to try the phone line ...

As it happens I am more interested in buying rather than selling. I didn't get the full amount I asked for and I would like to get online to make use of the money that is put back into my account. Not possible at present. :(

Perhaps Vince Cable is behind this as he didn't want people to sell immediately.....;)

I use TD Direct and got online and traded at 8.02 for 451

Yes, absolutely. I haven't been involved in shares for around 8 years. RM was a chance for me to dip my toe back into the waters. I opened an account with HL for RM shares but with the view to further investments (not just RM) at a later stage. I'd been recommended HL by family members but this is not the best introduction to HL...
