445p at the moment but seen it as high as 451p

£4.59 on opening but that was only for a few seconds. Most private investors who wanted to stag will have seen about £4.50

    Correct.....

Damn, so I'd have to add money to my normal trading account. OK, thanks for the info.
  • I'll hold for the divi, then sell out when RM is packaged up to be sold to to one of the European postes or private equity fund.

I put in for £5K. Still something is better than nothing I guess.

You don't think the HL site outage is deliberate so they get higher fees from phone trades by any chance ?

They say usual internet rates will apply, so no.

However, it is ridiculous that their systems aren't geared up for something they have been pushing like there's no tomorrow

    Thanks in advance:)

Am I right in saying yuo can't buy them in an ISA until next week? I read that somewhere :s

VERY poor show from these brokers... they should compensate us!

The original IPO was available in ISAs and SIPPs and you can sell them now (I have), but while conditional trading is in place, you cannot buy in a tax efficient wrapper

A very interesting approach which may have some merit.

At £4.50 though the yield goes down to just over 4% which is in the range of a ‘typical’ FTSE100 equity. But RM is not ‘typical’ for all the reasons that others have pointed out.

It may still be good value to hold but it is highly speculative – well off my risk scale.

    Glad I sold whatever happens.

Did you get through by phone?

Perhaps Vince Cable is behind this as he didn't want people to sell immediately.....;)
  • We are now 45 minutes after the open, and there is still no access to the HL website, never mind access via phone.

This means I can't even deal in my other holdings!
Just one new listing shutting down one of the biggest retail brokers in the country? Hmm. Not sure how they would do if there was a big market event (think 2008).
