The trouble with going on strike is that the work just piles up so the posties end up doing extra work the next day after losing a days pay.0

If you select the option I do not have an account then it should take you to a page where you need to enter your share holder reference number and the type of shares ie certificate/CREST or CSN, I cant use the CSN option so not sure if that is where this message comes from or not, but if I choose CREST it allows me to trade if I wish to line their pockets with 45 gold coins. No good unless you have an account number. (Takes you to a notice telling you to ring in)0

You can trade without an account, just select the option that says I do not have an account.
Aha, I had another go and managed it! Thank you Mcscoty, I sold 70 @£5.07, very happy with that. :beer:0 -

Sorry all ,this is probably a repeat of repeat but I am a newbie and there are too many posts to trawl through.
I applied for the shares through the Government site and have today received the share certificate in my name , as I guess many people did.
Can someone please tell me how do I sell them and what are the charges.
Many Thanks0 -
Hi Glandyman.
Couple of options.
1. Ask Equiniti for a form D a transfer form, and get the shares put back in the nominee account, you can then sell for 17.50
2. apply for an X-O accont. www.x-o.co.uk and complete a CREST form, same as a form D I think. They charge you 5.95 per trade, plus you will need special delivery to send them the cert. This will take about 5 days after they have recieved it.
3. Sell online via Equiniti and take the 45 hit.
Good luckSorry all ,this is probably a repeat of repeat but I am a newbie and there are too many posts to trawl through.

No need for all this.
They will sell them for 0.75% comm., £7.50 minimum.
Use this form and send it back with your cert:

I've tried to sell some of my shares on the Equiniti website. I can get as far as the screen where I press sell. On the next screen where I can either enter an amount or number of shares there is no option to sell. If I click on a At Limit I get the following error message " The following errors occurred: 1) This order type is currently not available for this security. "
What am I doing wrong? Can I set a limit when the market is open? I've read every page on this thread (page 61 was helpful) and spent some time googling the problem, but cant work it out. Help please.0 -
