Yes I have opened an account yesterday, just waiting on the PIN to come in the post (a bit like my cert).
I did manage to log on to shareview and can't log on by using the CSN option but can if I select Cerificate\CREST option so it is fair to say that my shares are definately coming as a certificate, providing that RM havent lost the certificate in the post.
If I do not get my certificate in the post, who is liable for a replacement certificate? I know that Equiniti charge £42 for a new one, but if they have failed to get the cert to you in the first place, surely they are liable? If you intend to transfer your certificate to X-O you can download the transfer form from their site. Have you opened an account with X-O?0 -

How did you find that out pmjenkings? did you already have a shareview account? or did you use another method to confirm this?
I presume you did not get the email like you were supposed to?Interesting! My Royal Mail shares are listed under the "Corporate Sponsored Nomine" heading. So I probably wouldn't be getting the certificate I was expecting.0 -

Are you able to log onto shareview with your shareholder reference then?
As I said, all I have so far is Form D and my shareholder reference number, no sign of a certifiate (maybe it will arrive tomorrow) and nothing to say what I have purchased which I find extremely odd indeed.
Yes, have done that since I saw on this thread about how to do it (Ologhai's post, perhaps?). This is the post that shows very clearly how to get through the Equiniti site to buy/sell (why has no-one official done this). So, have not registered per se, but did input my bank details.
I could have sold the shares days ago, and I went through the site via the CSN (the nominee route).0 -
OK..I want to check I have not missed something.
I sent the certificate off together with Crest form to the address x-ogave by special delivery.
I registered with x-o and am awaiting a pin number. There nothing else to do is there to sell?
Also do x-o need to have received my certificate before I sell?
Sorry for the very basic questions. I'm new to all of this and I have had a good look through this treads, but it does get a bit confusing.
Thank you0 -
Yes I know I dont need the PIN for that as I found the link for the CREST form on their FAQ page, however I still need the certificate which I hope will come at the same time as the PIN.The good news is that you don't need that PIN to transfer your certificate to X-O, but you will need it when you buy or sell shares.0

Hi Pearl.
Lucky you :-) glad you have got sorted at least. How much was it for special delivery btw?
I am not sure, but I would think you have to have your shares registered in their nominee account first, otherwise they have nothing to sell on your behalf, however you might be allowed to sell this way providing they get the cert within a time span.
Good luck.OK..I want to check I have not missed something.

Back in February, x-o emailed my trading PIN within 15 minutes of opening my account. Check your emails and your spam folders.
You will need to wait until your shares are visible in your x-o account before you can sell.
Special Delivery is £6.22 (IIRC)0
