Got a share certificate in the post today. Noticed when I tried to sell it on the Shareview site, commission charges are £45!!
Is there anywhere cheaper to sell or a better way?0 -
Certificate arrived just waiting for the pin from x-o.
Just looking a the help guide for using x-o. Can anyone tell me what this means. Sorry I'm a bit new to this and thought it best to ask.

My nominee account details came thro the post this morning, oh sorry, no I forgot what I applied for-- my share certificates came thro the post this morning.
Joking aside it looks as if the booby trapped form may have done some of us a favour looking at the price.0 -
Can anyone help a novice to holding shares, who's falling at the first hurdle here.
I've received my share certificate and plan to hold on to shares. Paperwork mentions going on to www.shareview.co.uk to register details online. Does this mean I'm opening a nominee account (I don't want one) or is it just for holding general information?
Secondly is there a way of choosing 'dividend reinvestment'? I realise there are dealing charges when reinvesting. With such a small reinvestment would this be worthwhile and how would I arrange this?
Thanks for any info.0 -

Ahh thats brilliant that you got your certificate Pearl :-) I hope mine is at home waiting on me as well. I see you are going down the X-O route as well, excellent :-)
Hopefully some kind person here will be able to offer a guide on how to use their website, hopefully it is fairly straight forward to use.Certificate arrived just waiting for the pin from x-o.

Sorry Be Happy, I can't help you out at the moment, not seen the paperwork and I probably wouldn't have a clue anyway.
Does anyone know, if you are intending to transfer over to X-O or any other broker, should you register details on shareview first or just ignore it and send cert off to new broker? Can anyone help a novice to holding shares, who's falling at the first hurdle here.

Hi everyone,
Well.... I applied for the nominee service & have received the certificate this morning!.. I would have preferred the shares to be held electronically so now have the palaver of converting paper shares.. ho-hum! Still at least I have something in writing to prove I own the shares!I must, I must, get my post average up to 1 a day!!0 -
Would anyone care to speculate on the reasons behind the rise today?
Perhaps most of the stags have taken their profits but the institutions still need to buy more. Demand exceeds supply so price goes up? Maybe the price will drop again when those with certificates figure out how to sell them.
Speculation as requested!0
