  • I think you will find that I have voiced the concerns that lots of other people have over the way the deal has been carried out. This is a public forum and I like all the others who share my views have a right to express. If you do not like that, maybe you should not be on a public forum.

    Happy trolling.

Well you have invested in a pretty decent investment which has profited very handsomely in the short term and have basically moaned at literally every aspect of it.

Today the shares hit over £5 so whats there to moan about.

That's not the type of sale that ps2659 set up - they set up a limit order to sell when the price hit 5.08. As sabertoothtigger said in an earlier post, the price didn't reach 5.08 so the order wasn't triggered.

I didn't read the post properly, it's been a long day.

I received my share certificate today with the little page giving me the option to "sell shares". I have to fill that form out and send it back if i want to sell them

    Questions:

Short of sending my cert away to have them put into a nominee a/c, is there no other way to sell?

If not, if i do send the form away to sell, I have to sit and hope the price is high when it actually processes? So if the post get delayed, it could cost me dearly? Ironic!!

Do i not get to set a lower limit or a "condition" of sale (e.g. do not sell under £5.00.

It seems a little amateur to use post to sell your shares blindly and unconditionally....

Did the people who opted for the shares to be held in the nominee acc receive a letter with a statement, shareholder info, etc today
or was that only for the people who selected to have a certificate?

    Thank you.

    Yes .
  • Hi all. So I sold my Royal Mail shares in the first day rush for £4.84 each and got a contract through today confirming the sale. On it, I am told the check will be sent out the day before of issue (so yesterday) or three working days after they receive the correct documentation.... What documentation?? I sold online through the Equiniti site... Thanks!

No documentation is required from you if you sold online.

That will just be a catch all note to cover all types of selling scenarios.

If you have not had an email by now chances are you will be getting a cert sent in the post I am afraid. Look back a few pages for the number to call Equiniti to check your situation.

I recieved a cert in the post this morning. I requested nominee.

I logged into shareview, and it gives me the options of buy/sell. so it looks fairly straight forward.

    I'll wait until next week.

A few of you have clearly got under each other's skin. I don't suppose you could try to draw some kind of line under it?

If each of you think the other party is in the wrong, perhaps you should all step back and allow someone else to point it out to them in a gentler way than you are currently able to. :)
