I would be interested to hear if anyone has recieved a share certificate in the post yet, that way people who have not got emails and no share certificate can start banging some head together. :-)0

Fixed that.
Andy, please do not edit people's quotes without making it explicit what you are doing, ie do it as a comment.
We know perfectly well that quite a lot of people checked a box when they should not have done so, me among them, but there are also posters on the forum here who have phoned Equaniti to find out what is on the company's records, and on checking have discovered that they did indeed opt for Nominee Shares, but have been treated as if they opted for Certificates.0 -

OH applied and we intended to use the nominee service although she's not had an email which suggests that its going to be a certificate. I'll try and get her to phone although I doubt it will make any difference0 -
Just got off the phone, to the number 0121 4157593, inquiring about the whereabouts of my e-mail/URN.
Was told by a very "brusque" Brummie, that "SIR, you DID tick the box for the Share certificate".....
Told, him it was my understanding that an awful lot of people on fora such as these, were pretty sure that wasn't the case, but it seemed we haven't a leg to stand to prove otherwise. I'm pretty sure I didn't tick the "share certificate" box, and judging by the manner in which my questions were handled by Equiniti's customer service, I haven't any shadow of doubt that their administration of this offer, leaves an awful lot to be desired.........
I added that, I'd heard their CEO Wayne Story had bitten the bullet, and wondered whether any other of his managers might consider the same......:cool:0 -
For what it's worth, I've spoken to Equiniti this morning and been assured that the usual £7.50 fee for exchanging a share certificate for nominee account is being waived for Royal Mail.0

I would think the fact I placed the edits in bold and capitals with the remark 'fixed that' would be enough for anyone to see quite clearly what I had changed if they had a modicum of sense.
Of course, if you disagree then you're welcome to report my post and let the moderators decide rather than take on the role of forum police yourself0 -
Ok so if anyone is just catching up on this forum here are a couple of options if you have not got your email yet.
1. If you have no email yet, it is highly likely you will be getting a share certificate in the post, regardless of if you think you opted for nominee account. You should check this with Equiniti on 0121 4157593
2. If you are getting a share certificate you can sign up for an X-O account and request a CREST form and send it back to them special delivery. They will allow you to do online traiding for only £5.95 per trade plust the cost of special delivery, this is cheaper than online trading with Equiniti @ £17.50.
3. Request that Equiniti send you a transfer form so you can transfer your paper certificate into the nominee account. You can then select to do online trading @ £17.50 or by using the automated telephone option for £7.50. Please be aware that the automated telephone line does not tell you how much you sold for. There is one more instant phone number you can call, but trading is £25 per trade.
Good luck everyone.0 -

Hi Andy
People often bold up comments their own and other people's for emphasis - this is not a sign that material has been added, nor are cryptic comments.
I'm not intending to "police" but I am asking you please don't do this. If you would like a judgement from the Moderators, I guess I can ask for one. I haven't done that before so I don't know how it works. Let me know if you would like me to.0 -
I am positive I didn't tick the box, and guess what I'm getting a cert in the post.....0

We have had our post today and have still not received the share certificates that Equiniti said were posted on Tuesday.0
