I just read that only a handfull of investors haven't received an e-mail with their transaction number............I unfortunately am one of them.
I have been refunded the balance over the £750 I paid initially but no e-mail.
Is there a number that I can call to find out the number please......preferably not an 087 one.
Thanks for any help you may give.
You are in the same position as many of us. The fact that your excess money has been returned confirms that your share purchase has gone thro ok.
No email really confirms that you will be receiving a certificate even thou you did not think you applied for one, the form was booby trapped.
I cannot be bothered to make a phone call but will just wait for the certificate then take advice on this forum how to sell.
Nobody will ever admit that the form was misleading because that would make BIG legal troubles.0 -

I've just called Equiniti (0121 415 7047) and they confirmed that I requested a certificate and it was posted out 1st class 2 days ago, so I should get it by the end of the week. It might be worth for those still waiting to give them a call to see what is going on.
In a weird sort of way that is a downbeat comment on Royal Mail ...0 -
Me too
Which box did you tick?
(This is a trick question
.)
Though I think there's some evidence there might have been a glitch, though I don't know why they would choose certificated as a default, since electronic was specifically meant to be the default.
My wife's conspiracy theory is that the government employed a psychologist to write a form that would catch out a chosen percentage of applicants to slow down the selling.0 -
I think it was Equiniti as they would be hoping that people would sell their share certs at their inflated price of £45+My wife's conspiracy theory is that the government employed a psychologist to write a form that would catch out a chosen percentage of applicants to slow down the selling.0

So what has that got to do with anything, smartiepants?
(BaconandEggs didn't send in £753.29!)
Ignore this irrelevant stuff from gjchester, BaconandEggs, and chase that 90 pence, it's yours!!
Not sure where the 753.29 came from.
Bacon and Eggs was most likely cutting the pence from his post, he would have had £250.90 returned.
Anyone asked for just £750 will have had their 90p change given to charity.0 -

Personally, I think the government asked the chap who designed the Tax Return form to write it.0 -

I'm one of them, and several others have reported on this site in the last couple of days, so looking at the likely proportions, I would guess that it's more than a "handful".0
