I understand but you have not *yet* suffered any loss. You cannot claim for a potential loss, only when a loss has occurred.
Lets say the shares rally and hit £6 tommorow, would you offer to pay the difference of £1 per share to Equiniti for not allowing you to sell today?0 -
Still nothing here either. Applied early on deadline day and am an 'M' so there doesn't seem to be any pattern. Concerned that it has been marked as a certificate despite selecting nominee account as others have already mentioned happening. Daft.q0

I've just spoken to equinity, and they said I chose a paper certificate, which I didn't as there is no point in holding them in such a way these days. Is there anything I can do about this in terms of selling the shares before I receive the certificate or in terms of the way equiniti have handled this?0

Now that I own the RM (well, a bit of it) can I stop my postman wearing shorts in winter?0

Can you tell me which number you contacted them on please? Every number I'm trying is automated and then cuts off :mad:0 -
4 of our family applied and only one has received the emails on 15th, the first at 10.47 the second at 2.05. The first email contains the shareholder reference and tells you to wait for the second email. The second email gives you your shareholding and some other info. If you want to sell you only need your first email with your shareholder reference and your share total which of course is 227.
This is a shambolic way to issue shareholders with a reference for the purposes of selling considering we did all the input work by applying online.0 -

Did you not read the prospectus before you bought your shares?? It clearly stated that you may not get your email on the first day of trading. Did you just send away your money without reading?
If you were unhappy about not potentially being able to sell on the first day of trading then why did you buy the shares?????
This is not "a bit of a mess", but rather you are "a bit of an idiot".
It may surprise a few people, but I did not read all the terms and conditions and in fact I never read all the T&C for anything purchased thro a reputable organisation, many running to 10 + pages, life is too short.
I would not moan about waiting 2 days for an email but it is very frustrating to continually hear in the media from 8:00 yesterday that small investors can now sell - half truth, and then to be told most emails have now been sent out - let's have some more info, how/why/what is the process of sending emails.
One more moan, in what other area are items offered for sale, money taken from account (£10k+) wait for email to be told you have not been acceptable, then wait for return cheque then wait to cash thro bank.
IMO share dealing is a messy business.0 -
Clearly your a bit of an ar*e!!!!!
It is a bit of a mess because it should not take this long to send out an email, lots of people including me do not know if this email will be sent at all, some others have been told that they are getting a certificate when they clearly asked for the nominee account, others selected a certificate and still recieved the email regardless. I would say that amounts to a mess.doctorsaint wrote: »This is not "a bit of a mess", but rather you are "a bit of an idiot".0 -

I'm seeing an obvious 'double top' pattern, could be heading down to £3 when they announce the strike.
Rubbish - How can you see a double top after only 4 days of trading? You are obviously a rank amateur who's opinions can be safely discarded.0
