Many at the Telegraphs page are saying that when they rang Equiniti, they are being told they ticked the share certificate box, when they are adamant they did not. It would not surprise me if they've gotten in a whole load of temporary staff to deal with the applications, and they've been entered into the system incorrectly

I must admit I rushed the share application and can't remember if I selected the share certificate or nominee box now.
I take it that because I haven't got an email, I have to wait for a certificate in the post?
Or is there another way to sell the shares before I get the certificate?0 -
Well I would advise anyone who has not recieved an email from Equiniti to contact them on 0121 4157047 to confirm if they are getting a cetrificate or a nominee account.
I asked for a nominee account however Equiniti say I am getting a certificate!!!! I am absolutely fuming now, but there is nothing I can do apparently apart from ask for a form to be sent out in order to transfer the shares to the nominee account.
It seems apparent that quite a few have now been given certificates instead of what they asked for, so dont expect anything until around the 21st of this month!!
I have read previously that some people who asked for a certificate did actually get the email, but not sure if they were able to sell the shares or not. Can anyone confirm this?
Good luck everyone. I hope the shares dont drop if a strike is announced. Equiniti are incompetant, and I can't wait to get rid of them!0 -
The price is 474p so you are all still sitting on a profit. Stop panicking. Evening it drops to 350 you dan walk away with no losses or perhaps view it as a buying opportunity0

Fairly sure that I ticked the box for a share certificate, not knowing much about share dealing and naively believing that a piece of paper would be an asset! However, I did get all relevant emails. Phoned the automated 'sell' line and it accepted my reference no. to sell. No idea if the transaction would have been processed though. I appreciate your frustration.0 -

Equiniti have issued the share details EXACTLY as they were told to do by the government.
They didn't decide to issue them in phases but were instructed to do so and have done exactly that(they have also, so far, not broken the promises made in the prospectus to do so within 2 days of the float) so not sure how you can label them incompetent for doing what they were told to do.
There's a difference between incompetency and you just not liking what happened.0 -

Yup. Looks like trading is very slow today. The people who could sell on Monday or Tuesday did so while those who still want to cannot.0 -
Andy.
I call them incompetant because when I asked for nominee account I expected to have that, however I have been informed that I, like others have actually been given share certificates. This puts us at a significant disadvantage because we will not have the cert until at least the 21st of October and by then the share value could well have collapsed.
Did the Government say to Equiniti to also change the investors request of nominee to share certificate? I doubt that, so I stand by what I say.Equiniti have issued the share details EXACTLY as they were told to do by the government.
