When is the cut-off time for trading? 5pm or 4:30?

    4:30 I believe.
  • Arrgghhhh that is me shafted for today at least.

Anyone else still not got their email. I think Equiniti should be shot for this fiasco. Total incompetance.

I know it sounds counter-intuitive but I am pretty sure that - as a rule - shares tend to underperform once they enter the FTSE 100 not the other way round as you might expect.

    Possibly

But when a company enters the FTSE it gets a bump as the trackers buy it up, and the same is true in reverse, when it leaves the FTSE the market will be temporarly flooded as the same trackers shed their holdings

Neither my wife nor I have received our emails yet, so you're not alone.....

Did you sell through the online account or using the automated phone number?

Online account, I wanted to be 100% sure of what price I was getting.

Did those who used the automated service even know what price they got yet or are they going to have to wait to see what's written on the cheque when they (eventually) get it through the post?

    Sold 227 shares @ £4.87.

    Very happy with that!

Beat you - I've just sold at 488p. I couldn't bear another day of watching the prices move.

I'm on holiday next week so my profit will pay for my beer money

Why are you continuing to say the same things? It was made clear at the outset, and has been mentioned in response to your earlier messages several times, that emails could take 2 days.

And if they did, imagine the Hargreaves-Wossname-style hullaballoo when everyone tried to sell at 8am this morning.

I don't think there was any way of handling this that people would've been entirely happy about.

Sorry about using the word 'hullaballoo' by the way; I wouldn't normally. ;)

That doesn't make sense? given that 90% of the shares were already in the market, how big an impact could it make? I woul expect most pople to watch it during the day and pick an optimum time to sell.

They may as well have just provided a sell link in the email, one click and they're sold at the price that second, rather than an automated telephone line (what is it the 80s again!) that sells at an unknown price and unknown time! The fact people have had to construct HowTo's to navigate the Equini site to find the actual Sell link, shows how timewasting it must have been for soooo many people. Anyway shouldn't complain, the free £300+ rather dwarves Millipede's £120 off gas bribe LOL
