I feel your pain Pearl, still nothing here yet. I wonder if the emails only arrive during the stock exchange opening times?
Good luck.Still waiting. I was quite optimistic yesterday evening that the email would arrive on time.
It's interesting to see how the prices have climbed. I hoping they hold out, as I don't earn a lot and a bonus would be nice.0 -
Got out at £4.88.
Happy with that...I'm not greedy, and £340 profit after charges is good enough for me.
You're not greedy... but those who have yet to sell... are?
You're not the first to define the line where greed begins. Strangely, in previous days, others have put the greed line lower. Coincidentally, it was at whatever price they sold at also.0 -

In this day and age it is unacceptable to have to wait 2 days for electronic mail that takes milliseconds to transfer over the internet. The government knew on Friday how many shares were being allocated, so if this was managed properly then emails could have started going out as soon as this announcment was made. 2 days for an email? they would be quicker posting it!!!
again to use a point that has been made earlier the staggering could be deliberate to stop a stampede at 8am.
Nobody says it takes 2 days for an email. I'm saying the prospectus that you read before deciding to buy said that emails would be received within 2 days.0 -
Could you expand more on that? I'm not saying your wrong or trying to be argumentative, just genuinely curious as to how shares new to the 100 could actually go down?
Whether shares tend to go down when they enter the FTSE100 I dont know but I would expect them to.
The point is that markets prepare for an event before it happens. If you knew a company was likely to enter the FTSE100 and wanted to benefit from a price rise you would buy sometime before the event. So prices would rise at that time, probably to close to the expected value after it entered. When the company does enter the FTSE100 people who bought for a quick gain would sell and there would be fewer people interested in buying so the price would drop.
It's a general rule - prices rise on a rumour and fall on the news.0 -

I'm not a professional but its one of those sell on the rumour, buy on the news type stories.
I'm sure I have read of studies which shows that more often than not, shares do well before they enter the FTSE 100 in anticipation of entering the FTSE 100 and then once they are in, underperform for a while..

I know it sounds counter-intuitive but I am pretty sure that - as a rule - shares tend to underperform once they enter the FTSE 100 not the other way round as you might expect.
If you look at the FTSE 100, companies tends to grow less than those in the FTSE 250 or All Share but that's because it's easier for small companies to grow. If you are worth £100bn then it's a lot harder to grow 50% in one year than it is if you are worth £1bn.0 -
Ah I see, thanks for that linton and Sunil, so if I were to hang on till December I'd probably be best selling at some point before they actually go on to the ftse... handy to know!:beer:0

Before you think of shooting anyone have you checked your ISP's not got mail problems and any relevent spam folders on your PC and the ISP?
EMail is not usually classed as time sensative traffic by ISP's so may be deprioratised compated to something that is such as music/voice/video streaming services.0 -

I never implied anyone was greedy. I just stated I wasn't...
Today was the first day I could sell. I'd have sold on Friday if I could and still been happy.
I'm not going to hang on, hoping they go up, I'm happy to recognise I've made a profit as intended and get out.
I planned to make £250...anything over that was a bonus.0 -

Yeah but the share price has closed higher each of the last 3 days trading.......... Equiniti's" incompetence" could well pocket you more cash if the trend continues.0
