Weird as several people who chose the certificate have received the shareholder reference number email.

Are you able to verify that this is correct?

I'll be sure to dig this out on the forum when the opportunity arises!

Don't think that statement features in Tim Hales book.

I'm on your side, but people buy shares for different reasons. I've bought RM shares just today because I think they will do OK over the long term and pay a decent dividend.

Personally, if I'd managed just to get the £700-worth I would still hold on to them, but I get the impression from some people here that they actually need the money for current spending purposes. So it wasn't so much an investment as a gamble -- albeit a reasonably safe one in this case.

Why is everyone so eager to sell.

I thought shares were a long term investment. Or at least that's what keeps being bleated on here

It looks like it was the correct decision to give the institutions most of the shares otherwise the price would have collapsed with all the desperation to sell. Mrs Miggins has turned out to be a heroin dealer who's up to her eyeballs in debt!
  • So my other half has been told her shares are certificated, nothing that can be done until she gets the shares on the 21st then she must find her own broker.

Absolutely fuming, absolutely, 100% chose nominee account...

Anyone know if we have any options for redress?
  • is it possible to take equiniti to the small claims court over the fiasco they have created with the share emails not being delivered fairly to all investors. Some who have recieved the email were able to deal, others like me can't do anything until the email comes through, an by that time the shares may be significantly less valuable that they were to others.

Price rising again. Went down to 475p over lunch but now heading back to 485p.

I don't think I would have the nerve to be a day trader. Watching prices must drive you nuts.

I was !!!!ssssedddd off with the limitation of shares but have added and am in no hurry to sell. It appears to be common knowledge the shares are still undervalue and may drop with strike action - another buying opportunity hopefully.

They might also hit £3.50 by the close of business - unlikely but probably as valid a guess as yours.

I was advised by a dealer buying up shares for an investment fund I do think his suggestion has validity !

Maybe her shares will be worth more by then.
