    Can anyone confirm whether or not I'm allowed to sell on the Equiniti site if I asked for a share certificate? :(

    You will need to have received your share certificates, then you can trade and then you will need to send your certifs back to Equiniti

    Yeah, it wasn't an Email saying 'you have been awarded 227 shares' it was just a general E-mail titled 'Royal Mail Share Offer'

    It contained some blurb about the 'secreary of state has today announced the final offer price...' and had a link to www.gov.uk/royalmailshares which contained the price and number of shares in there as a general notice to everyone.

    There was no specific E-mail with your personal entitlement on it, which I suspect is why some people are still confused as to wether they got shares or not.
    That email was pretty clear...ok, they didn't actually print your allocation in the message text, but it should have been obvious, from the link they/you provided....
    Application amount --> No. of shares allocated
    £750 to £10,000 --> 227 (worth £749.10 at the Offer price)
    Over £10,000 --> Nil

    It has been hinted to me that the shares may well hit as high as £5.50 (by close of business today) so I'd hang on to them

    Phew! That's reassuring.

  • It is now 1:30 and I still have not recieved any emails from Equiniti, I am not sure if this is by order received date or by name. I am a McE. Is anyone else still waiting on an email? trading will be well over by the time I get anythng so it would seem.

    AFAIK ...your certificate is going out by post, not email.

    But surely we should be able to sell, then get asked to send the certs in before trade settled, funds paid etc...

    AFAIK ..regardless of the certificate medium, unless you have a 'Shareholder Reference Number'...you wont be able to sell.

    My husband (opted for Equiniti) JUST got his email.

    Nothing to me yet, though we have the same name and I bought just before him. I'm a share certificate.
  • Just beware guys, my other half (RM employee) found out that despite selecting Nominee Account she has been allocated certificated holdings and won't hear anything until the 21st...

    Getting hold of anyone to kick off about it and get it changed seems impossible, meanwhile the share price falls...
  • @ mcscoty1973 - I am still yet to receive me email too..
  • How do you find out if you have been issued a share certificate or nominee ?
