Probably been answered already but can
read the 52 pages already posted.

In a last minute rush last week to buy I stupidly
opted for a share certificate, when will be the
earliest I will be able to sell.
Will it be when I get the email
on Tuesday or when I get the physical certificate?
    Thank you.

I don't know the answer to the specific question but the lesson from this for all new investors is that there is usually no need to ask for a certificate, especially if you are looking to do a quick sale.

    Amazing shambles, no email.

Well, I guess you have remember that the government would rather you hold on to your shares so there is no real motivation to get you up and selling at the earliest opportunity.
Perhaps , Equiniti have already obtained their fee from the government & so aren't too fussed at losing their £18 trading fee per client trade.

Seriously regretting going through the gov website. No communication whatsoever.

I was planning on selling at least a portion tomorrow morning.
Can anyone confirm they've been in contact with Equiniti who have verified their share details and said they can sell over the phone using the number quoted a few pages back? (which opens at 8.30am..). Or do we have to sit tight and wait for an email confirming our Equiniti details from the government?

Nothing has been confirmed and comms have been a joke. Given some people have ponied up £10,000 it's not an ideal situation.

Like you I am awaiting my email for what to do next.

Just a quick note to all those that bought via the Govt website,

If you sell online you will have to pay a minimum of £18 (or £17 something as I recall reading) for each deal you make or 1% of the deal, which ever is higher.

You can trade by phone or post at a cheaper cost of £7 something for a limited time.

^^The conditions on the £7.50 charge mean you could potentially end up paying a lot more than the £10 you saved.

Ok, have read through as much of this thread as I can without mmy brain hurting, so sorry if this has been posted before, but I can't find anything clear....

I applied through the gov website - recieved a confirmation email with a share offer number and later recieved a further generic email linking to the site confirming the allocation of 227 shares, and the comment,
'Share certificates or statements, and any refunds of surplus application money, will be sent out by Monday, 21 October.'
    I didn't ask for a certificate.
    How do I sell tomorrow????
There has been mention on this thread of Equiniti shareview - do I need to register with this site?
Also of X_O website - I have tried to register with these, but not had a confirmation email
What exactly is supposed to happen?

    Thanks

You should receive another email with instructions and references to enable you to deal with your shares through Equiniti.

Until you receive that email there is nothing you can do (unless you get through on the phone tomorrow). It's supposed to arrive before 8am Tues.
  • If you asked for a certificate - does that mean you cant sell via the site tomorrow?
