Not sure if you'll get an E-mail before midnight.......unless Equiniti have employed extra staff to work out of office hours to cope with the admin.

If you don't get an e-mail before trading tomorrow though, I can already hear the excuse..........
The Equiniti system got swamped and was unable to cope with the high number of subscribers!

    Amazing shambles, no email.

    Same here.

    Been checking all Evening. Nothing.

I've decided to not sell my shares tomorrow.

Still plenty of demand for them, the price seems to be holding well and going up, and the Government have more to sell at a future date.

    I'll take the chance.

Technically, it's illegal for anyone to advise you on when to sell or buy shares or offer investment advise unless we are qulified and authorised to do so(even on an informal forum such as this).
You got those about 100% wrong for both classes of possible advice source:

    1. A qualified and authorised IFA is effectively banned from giving regulated advice here because they cannot do a proper fact find. I haven't looked into the rules for stock brokers but expect them to also be effectively banned. Some guidance can be given but they need to take a lot of care.
    2. Anyone else can give advice here because they are not doing it in the course of business and hence do not have to be regulated.

The FCA Perimiter Guidance Manual (PERG) has the requirements for this. Specifically PERG 2.3 which says in part that "Under section 22 of the Act (Regulated activities), for an activity to be a regulated activity it must be carried on 'by way of business'".

Yep, it seems that those that sold early like me have actually lost out, even though the media portrayed us as the big winners.
I guess tomorrow will be the key day as to judge whether the high price will hold in the market in the longer term or not.

It's occurred to me that perhaps Equiniti is purposely limiting the e-mails it sends out with user login info etc, because it fears they may suffer a Hargreaves Landown style crash if they get too overloaded by sellers tomorrow......only Equiniti isn't going to tell you that.

I bought to hold although I admit I have been swayed by the high price. If I can trade tomorrow I may sell enough shares to skim off the difference between the current total value and the £749 (eg £327 @4.75) and then hold the rest.

I am not sure when tomorrow's strike action ballot result is due to be announced, does anyone know?

Given the strong demand shown in Royal Mail I'm not sure if any strike action will impact the high price too much, but I wonder if "no strike" action is announced would cause a further rise in in the price.

That is what I have done with a few shares that have had good increases, National Express, Tullet Prebon and Eddie Stobart. I now have a nice amount of totally free shares.
