Another spend free day for me... which I think will take me up to nine.
    :D

Made macaroni cheese which was a brilliant success... serves six actually gave us eight portions which meant one each for mum and me's supper (OH and dad don't eat macaroni cheese) and it gave us three portions each to freeze. Mum is thrilled as she loves macaroni cheese. (In fairness, she did supply the cheese).
    :)

Hope everyone else is having a nice day.

spending tonight catching up on the weekend's posts and doing the washing now my friend has headed back to the big smoke.. would have been a spend free day today as she treated me to lunch, with the help of my t4aste c4ard (free trial from work), but I caved in and bought a nice photo frame as an additional pressie for parents' ruby wedding. It was only £14 and looks a lot more expensive.... so I think it was worth it. I am keen to get back on the SFD wagon tho, although tomorrow night we are going to a free lecture at the local uni after work and food might be necessary as it would be very later till we get home... unless OH will tolerate MORE sandwiches and for two meals in a row! ah well, I'll see what we can manage...

right, getting back to catching up on the all the money saving to inspire me!

  • Evening all. Checking in with another SFD - bringing my total up to 8. Looking forward to making it to double figures as I didn't manage that last month!

Packed lunch as usual, and a jacket potato for tea (with baked beans that were stashed in the cupboard). No exercise for me today as have a bit of a cold. Sat in front of the TV and about to carry on with my knitting.

    Check in again tomorrow.

    Evening all

SFD today :) yay :) feel like I might actually be able to succeed with this part of the challenge now I'm making some head way with SFDs.

Took lunch to work as usual and didn't eat out :)

Budgets are looking ok. I'm working from payday to payday (25th) for my money totals, so we should make it on budget :) Plus money made on eB4y means I can make an additional ccard payment this week once the item is posted :)

Really loved reading the ideas for Cheistmas presents. Wish you lot were making me presents :)

No sfd as forgot we needed bread. Had a good journey down to ex-oh caravan and dropped DS1 off but unfortunately got caught in traffic jam on the way back up the M6 as car and cattle van had overturned. Thankfully no-one and no animals hurt and we had our packed lunch with us so we sat and ate that whilst waiting in the jam. Just annoying we hadn't realised we needed more bread grrrr.

Anyway SFD planned for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Also changed our lunch days to 18 as I had forgotten we were on holiday this week and therefore no need to take 20 lunches in October.
