It appears you don't do either particularly well.

Well, I don't give out advice without having enough facts in front of me to make my advice worthwhile.

I've also remained restrained in my responses based on the insults thrown at me.

But I guess that's the Friday Troll gone. Last week's one was about a 10 year old car that broke down, the week before was about how all mortgages are illegal. What's going to be the topic of next Friday's Troll?
    1. Have you tried to Google the answer?
    2. If you were in the other person's shoes, how would you react?
    3. Do you want a quick answer or better understanding?
  • So why make numerous multiple posts essentially saying nothing useful to the OP? By all means post once to make that point, but why keep posting if, as you've said,, you aren't going to give any useful advice?

I really do not expect to be misrepresented here, but please put those insults thrown at you in your next post, so we can take a look.

It is quite clear that the joke jibes hurt you, but remember initiated by you.

Sorry, I think I said a lot of useful things to him.
I suggested he asked the boys.
I suggested he waited until they got home
I suggested he told us the names of the hotels.
I gave examples based on my own experience.

You and he may think my posts weren't "useful", but that's just because they didn't say what you/he wanted to hear.

...oh, and maybe if he had given us some facts, I might have provided very precise advice based on first hand experience.

Sorry, I'm out of here, just too "blinded by some weird prejudice" against Matty.

So his grievance is that he has been moved to a hotel that is too far away for him to go to a brothel or use the services of a prostitute?

    Fine boy you've raised there.
A few of the times I've stayed in some hotels in Russia I've experience a prostitute knocking on my room door - I've just said "no thank you" and closed the door.

Unlike UK cold callers, Russian prostitutes don't force themselves and their services upon you.

I agree to the scenarios here and I must stress that I am not losing sleep as I sincerely hope that this will not impact beyond the obvious financial effects.

However I cannot accept, well without further investigation that somehow if you do not immediately demand and then receive reasonable and immediate adequate redress, then any claim is invalid, that seems very unlikely.

My view is firstly that the financial differential between the hotels should be obviously refunded.

I then assume that if there are any further consequential losses, re: travel or others if proved seem reasonable also refunded.

Perhaps a reasonable maybe negotiated refund for some level of inconvenience.

Whatever your thoughts, the service provider didnt provide and rightly need's to be made accountable.

I am posting hoping that those that have experienced and/or challenged a similar scenario or those that have some level of consumer law knowledge might offer some guide to the legal position and its likely progression.

    Thank you.

I am not sure you have read my post fully, from reading your response, particularly the comments highlighted which are at odds with what I said.

I am a hotelier, I know exactly what to do in these situations, but I don't know what you want from this thread.
